For a one-off, small installation, don't waste your time/money with special tool PEX connection types.? Just use push fittings, a la Sharkbite.
The special?tool systems, like Uponor and Viega (I have both) have efficiency?gains in large applications, but zero benefit at small scale.
I' on the pex bandwagon.? It won't shatter like pvc, leak like galv or black pipe, or cost like copper or proprietary like rapid air.? Dead simple and I had zero leaks after testing.? There are a couple ways to make the connections.? Both take special tools.? Home Despot rents them.? It ran inside sheetrock walls with galv pipe penetration and a fitting that screwed to a stud similar to a shower head mount.? Put in more terminals than you think you need and cap them if you don't use them. ? ? ? They make straight pex , I use 1/2¡±I¡¯d rubber hose But I will use pex in basement it is just to to to easy. It feels like our air plumbing system holds about 20 gallons of air itself. It was worth it to unroll it for a few hours to let it relax instead of fighting it to keep straight on install. It'll never be as straight and pretty as rigid pipe, but it'll never cost as much to buy or maintain either. ? ?Joe I used commercial grade copper, reasonable price for good tube and fittings. 3/4" with 1/2" drops. Combination of solder and Shark bites joints. You counter weight the back corner of the machine to counter weight on the outrigger. Fill the floor with concrete.? Concrete is 150 # per cubic ft.? Also has absorption qualities , I have used it in machine buildings a few times and like it . There are very expensive milling machines built almost entirely of composites Herm¨¨s comes to mind. Glen I would plane half that on my Buss but the tools your talking about there is way to much distance from rollers to pressure bars and chip breakers.? Lunch box planers work good for that sort of thickness or like John said wide belt. Mac,,, Designing and building for 47 years

I chickened out on that Idea and did it on the saw, I don't exactly trust the digital read out yet, The planner seems pretty spot on but the saw is off, So as usual I cut them on the saw and had to do it again forgetting about it being off. I think its about time to get that fixed.?

I went through the same thing with my Profil, having to replace the digidrive positioning/control board and ending up with the same error display. ? ?I did find that that low voltage transformer inside the machine had multiple taps for the outputs and was able to bring it down by just moving a wire.

I agree 100% with your analysis. I needed some of my line to go underground to get closer to where my cars are. PEX is absolutely not allowed to go underground because there are some bugs that will puncture it. So I did not have many choices. The advantage of the RapidAir system is the nice reasonably priced package with components that solve the need for many expensive and space consuming T's and L's and ball valves when you use copper. Each outlet has a moisture drain ball valve and everything is really well made.
BTW, PEX-AL-PEX is used in Europe for years as the standard for water supply and underfloor heating.

My 2016 Profile 45z x-motion has about 120mm of spindle travel.
At the lowest the spindle will go it sticks up above the table 46mm to the top of the spindle cap bolt.
