Re: 3d Dro stop
Thanks Brian, that notched version is exactly what I needed. Thanks! BB On Thu, Dec 30, 2021 at 1:08 PM Brian Lamb <blamb11@...> wrote:

Re: 3d Dro stop
Thanks Brian, Yes the picture I show is mirrored and I was hoping someone had the file in the correct orientation. It's not the original file in the files section, but one that I was starting to correct. Maybe I somehow mirrored it when I imported it? If you have the right one, I would appreciate it. Re: Digital Rip Fence mod on K500
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýTake some pictures of the fence housing on the bar so we can see what sort of room and position you need. Shouldn¡¯t be hard to come up with something.

Re: Digital Rip Fence mod on K500
Thanks,
After having cut the parts, drill holes in the housing fence, I realized that the fence is way way too small to use machine screws from inside to outside. Also the fence housing is way too close to the saw scale for the solution in the video. The sensor is bigger than the space you have between the housing and the saw scale. It seems that the only way to mount the sensor is either under the actual fence or to the side of the housing using a custom made block to get everything dial in within the 1 mm margin as well as the 1 degree margin. On this saw, it looks like the basic wixey solution attaching on the side is the easy way to go. Bill |
Re: 3d Dro stop
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI have the STL, but it¡¯s opposite the way you show. Did you by chance mirror image the file at some point? Worst case, tell me how thick and wide the notch you want cut out of it and I¡¯ll do it for you.

Re: 3d Dro stop
Thanks so much David. Nice stuff! What I was looking for was an STL file that I could print in nylon. Bill B¨¦langer

3d Dro stop
In looking at the 3D files, I find a DRO version of a fence attachment. I'm trying to redesign it to fit my Kappa 400 fence, but maybe someone else has already done this?
The post is on the wrong side for me, it should be on the left with the angle facing me. Is there another file that allows the block to go under the dust hood? Don't need to reinvent the wheel... Thanks Bill B¨¦langer |
Re: Digital Rip Fence mod on K500
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýYou don¡¯t have to use the cover strip, but it does protect the soft magnetic layer. I would use it.

Re: Digital Rip Fence mod on K500
Stupid question about the magnetic strip,
The product comes with two strips, one thick that is supposed to the magnetic strip and one thin that is supposed to be a cover strip for protection. I guess I have to install the magnetic strip first and then add the stainless steel cover strip on top of it? I also wonder whether I need the protective strip or for this application this is not needed? Thanks, Bill |

Nice project!? Those "square cuts" certainly assist on the glue up and joint fit. Please post a photo of the completed door(s). Massive Glue Up
?Well massive for my hobby shop anyways. Two of my long flattest surfaces in the shop (10¡¯ slider and 9.5¡¯ jointer w/ext tables) in use for glueup of first door panel - 148¡± x 72¡±.
Just used blocks attached to the OSB under each rail and used shims to push the rails into the stile. Credit to Felder machinery the final corner to corner measurement is only off by 1/32¡±. Now, I will rest easy if the other stile will go in with 6 floating tenons. Imran |
