Re: Sliding Table Saw Felder K700 S - Minnesota
I bought a 2000 KF700S Professional in May, $6950, hobby use only, 3 shaper spindles, 3 phase, 3 motors,? body of the saw appears to be a clone of this one, in northern Wisconson.? (No overhead guard or air clamps though).? I agree that this is a bit over priced. ?? This saw is about 5 mi into Minn from the S Dakota border, i.e., not close to anything.

FS: 2010 Felder CF 741 S Professional for sale in Seattle area
#forsale
After going back and forth on this, I'm again putting this for sale.??This is for a fully loaded 2010 CF741SP with some special non-standard features that are no longer available on the newer models. This has been in two hobbyist shops and has not seen much work.? Unfortunately local sale only, pickup preferred though I can help deliver locally as well.? I can can not ship.
Pictures:??https://cyberiad.smugmug.com/Other/For-Sale-Items/Felder-CF741SP/ Asking $20000 for all of the below Specifications: * Single Phase 230V 5.5HP motors * 2500mm (98”) slider * Remote start for the saw (no remote stop) * 12” capacity for planer (newer versions have the smaller 10” capacity) * CVT motors enabling continuous speed changes for shaper and saw with no need to tinker with belts for changing speeds - super convenient! This is now only available on the more expensive Format4 line. * Electric height adjustment for shaper and saw and complete digital height adjustment for planer (“Power Drive”) * Complete mortising unit set up, including the rolling carrier * Mobility kit included * Jointer has the standard 4 knife felder system cutter block with a Euro comfort guard. * Mechanical scoring unit with scoring blade included A lot of additional accessories: * Transport and mounting unit for the outrigger table * Felder F-38 Power feeder * Eccentric Clamp for the slider * A pneumatic gas strut bracket for the power feeder * Short crosscut fence * High speed router spindle * 30mm spindle * Two 1? spindles (I ended up getting two of these for some reason) * Tenoning plate * Full set of birds mouth bits for the mortiser * Extra Sets of jointer blades blades Anil |
Re: Thoughts on going from K500 P to K700 S
开云体育If you go the full boat the cost difference from k700 to k940 isn’t that much (at least in my case) of course then you need to add phase conversion that adds to and before you know it you’ve spent 3-5k more than you planned...You should commission it yourself, there is really not much to it and you will learn a lot about the saw which will help in the future + 1k in your pocket... Re: I found the Altendorf....
It sold, but i couldnt tell what year it was. Also, what length was the slider?? I will have to start another thread one day comparing some of the higher end brands of sliders. I know next to nothing about Altendorf models through the years. I started a thread on sawmill creek about vintage Martin models prior to 2000.Its hard to find someone that knows all the specifics on these models through the years. What to look for, how much, etc.? Patrick On Tue, Dec 15, 2020 at 12:36 PM David Kumm <davekumm@...> wrote:

Thoughts on going from K500 P to K700 S
I am a woodworking hobbyist of 35+ yrs, I have a 24’ x 24’ shop I built in my backyard 20 yrs ago. On 8/2019 I purchased new a K500 Pro model with 80” slider and added Mac’s super pneumatic clamps. I have been very pleased with the saw except for the lack of ability to rip 8’ sheet goods. Knowing what I know now I am seriously considering buying the K700 S with 9’ slider, Power Drive 2 #201, digital cross stop #171, digital display for rip fence #86, overhead saw guard #86, single phase 4 hp #162 and electrically driven scoring unit #23. Any advice or recommendations, at 63 years old I need to either be happy with what I got or go for what I really want ? Not sure I want to go through the hassle of selling the K500 P and the financial loss and then the whole process of receiving and setting up the new machine, although will seriously consider paying for FELDER to commission the K700 S. Thanks in advance

Re: Phase Converter Wanted
开云体育Cliff, ? I have corrected myself many times here but looks like I have to pay my dues for the bad info I put out. I never said PP had choppy output, I was incorrectly concerned with a higher voltage. A VFD on the other hand, by design, puts a PWMed voltage output. This is where a transistor (IGBT to be specific) is turned on/off (10KHz is common) to conserve power expended. This is the reason that a VFD can be the side of a loaf of bread and weigh nothing compared to the size and weight of PP. It does appear that PP is getting smaller and lighter though. Here is a scope plot of my VFD. Yellow is the voltage and green is the current. As you can see voltage is discontinuous (on/off) and current is continuous. Motor runs fine as long as current is continuous. ? ? Imran ? From: [email protected] On Behalf Of Cliff Rohrabacher, Esq.

I see phase converters for sale come up here occasionally.? Total load (3 separate motors) for my new machine is under 3hp.? Either 208 or 460 v works.? I think I prefer a digital to a rotary for the lower noise and easier mounting.? Are any available out there? |
Re: Sliding Table Saw Felder K700 S - Minnesota
I paid $7k for a 2003 k700s. It had very few miles on it, I thought it was only a year or two old when I first looked at it. From what I understand, when the x-roll came out it was quite an improvement over the older slider bearing system. I was looking for a single phase saw, but I bought this one anyway as it was local and I had been looking for a while with no luck.
