Lots of experience here on options and mistakes others have made.? Share your thinking and you will get lots of mostly consistent input.? Felder builds
all machines to order and if any are available in the showroom for sale it¡¯s because a customer backed out.? I understand the leadtime is 6 months or so right now.? I¡¯ve worked with Carl at Felder who I think lives in LA and he has been very helpful too.

felder makes many different tools. what are you looking to buy? saw, shaper, jointer, bandsaw, CNC, ...
there are single and combo options.

I have the KF700SP with the 10¡¯6¡± slider, and the 4¡¯ outrigger. Sorry, I don¡¯t think in metric, so I just used an imperial tape measure to get rough measurements.?
I remove the fence from the outrigger, and slide the outrigger as far to the right as it will go. Then I use the shaper with the power feeder with no problems. ?The outrigger support arm is a tripping hazard that one must adjust to. It¡¯s not an ideal solution, but it works for me.?
When I do freehand shaper work, I remove the outrigger so that I can work without the tripping hazard. So far, no problems.?
Like many of you, I agree that separates are the best option if space and budgets allow.?

I had a cart for my KF700 and as Jonathan said it is quick and easy.?? I don¡¯t have the little ears on my 940 to use the cart so I was considering selling it, where are you located? ?

Plenty strong enough, and you don¡¯t need to ratchet, they pivot anywhere you want them. The ones I got for 5/16 studs are pretty large, so you might have to reduce the size of the thru stud on the clamp, thus using a smaller threaded t-nut.

thanks Jerry. good to know. currently i have to remove the kip lever to lift my homemade clamp off slider - your suggestion should speed it up. issue is that i made the slider nut too long and it does not come out due to slider handle being in the way. i may just notch the handle wall to be done.
going from using clamps on KF700 w/o outrigger to K975 with outrigger is a diff experience. primarily due to the short xcut fence fixed tnut and inability to slide the clamp off because handle is in the way.

I use this method when you cannot fully rotate the handle.
Get the appropriate T-handle hex or torx driver, lift the handle
to disengage it and turn the handle mounting screw CCW.
The screw does not loosen from the body of the Kipp lever.? ?

I have attached the bracket drawing that I created. It is based upon the original but uses 3/8" steel plate instead of the 1/2" AL. One I have had installed on KF700 was made with 1/2" AL plate but the threads, for the ball stud, on mine have been compromised over the yrs. I believe if the threaded post of ball stud was longer to allow the nut to fully engage it would help the life of threads in AL. So, if I were to go with 1/2" AL then I would recommend 9512K19 ball stud as it has 1" threaded post vs 3/4" for the one below (which is fine for 3/8" thick plate). It may however require you to cut it short if it interferes with the tilt bracket. Here is the parts list. Some are bulk items but you can buy them in low qtys locally. Flat head screw (91253A542) is probably most critical as it has a low profile head. Also, Jeff opted for 125# gas spring but I believe most have used the 250# given below. So just something to be aware of.

I recently ordered a KF700S. I was considering a 2800 slider, ended up with a 3200 slider with 1500 outrigger. I did not explicitly ask about the 1300 outrigger, but I had the impression that it was an option. Your salesperson should be able to give you a definitive answer.?
