Re: Felder Universal Diamond saw blade, does anyone have or used one.
I put the blade in the cart and went to check out as a guest at sautershop.com.? USA as a shipping destination country was a choice among all the countries listed in the drop down menu.? This is just an exercise, so I did not go through the entire check out process.? I am happy with my Felder and Tenryu blades, but have thought that this blade would be interesting to cut box lids from the box when building small boxes.? Reading of the deflection issue gives me pause.? I noticed that Felder ran out of stock in about a week after it was listed on the e-shop, so there are plenty of people buying and using it.??

Re: Felder Universal Diamond saw blade, does anyone have or used one.
They don¡¯t list the USA, as a place to ship. It seems like a lot of companies out of the USA show a lower price. If anyone buys a blade from them her in the USA let me know. Thanks Doug

The blades are also available at a lower price at:?? Even including shipping the price is significantly lower than buying from Felder, and from my understanding, the Felder blade is a rebadged AKE blade.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýI got the information back and I can sell the banding for the price I have been, which is $90 per meter. If you need some just let me know. I am getting low on inventory, but just ordered a new roll.

Re: Thickness (planer) table problems in AD951
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýPhil, Have you taken a look at elevation drive mechanism under the table and feed roller drive in the back? I just cleaned and lubed both on a 10 yr old dual51. Everything looked fine but according to the maintenance schedule it was way over due, even for hobby use. This may not resolve your issue but if you have not yet done any service, it might be beneficial. Imran? On Mar 16, 2021, at 9:56 AM, glenhyrst <phil_moger@...> wrote:

Want to Buy & For Sale
Hey Everybody,
I was forced to downsize my business 4 years ago and sold all my stand alone machines to purchase a 2004 Felder CF 731 S Combination Machine and move into my double car garage.? I purchased the machine used from the Felder showroom in Dallas, TX where they had received it as a trade in from another guy upgrading his machinery.? Felder went through the machine and made repairs and calibrated it prior to my purchase.? I have since dialed it better than I received it.? Now that my business has picked up I am moving back into a shared maker space and am considering selling my combination machine and purchasing stand alone machines again. I am trying to gauge if there is any interest among the FOG in my machine and if anyone here possibly has used machines that they are wishing to sell or will potentially be selling in the near future. I will take pictures of my machine once I have it set up again in the new space. It is a 2004 Felder CF 731 S Combination machine with a 9' X roll slider.? The outrigger has a 102" cross cut fence with the pin location for quick angle cuts and features a material roller.? The machine is single phase with a built in VFD and has Vario Drive knobs for electronic adjustment of saw blade, shaper, and jointer/planer rotation speeds.? The shaper comes with the standard Felder fence, a 1.25" spindle, a 30mm spindle, and a high speed router spindle (I am considering keeping the router spindle but not certain).? The machine has a tilt away bracket for the power feeder with a DIY gas strut lift.? The shaper tilts to 45 degrees.? The saw holds up to 315mm diameter blades and the saw is able to accept dado blades.? The saw has approximately 31" rip capacity right of blade.? Shaper, saw, and jointer/planer all feature manual lift and tilt.? The jointer/planer has 12" width capacity.? The planer has 9" height capacity.? The jointer/planer has the Felder easy change knife system with 4 knives.? The planer has a dial wheel indicator for height read out.? (The shaper has a dial indicator for tilt degrees, as seen in upcoming pictures, but Felder provided me with the wrong dial model and it is inaccurate).? The combo machine has a mobility kit.? The machine is currently fit with an Extrema 4 wheel power feeder (I will possibly let this go with the machine for the right price).? The machine also comes with the mortising attachment.? The mortise machine has a broken bearing cage and was received by me in this condition but otherwise appears like it should work.? I have not used it or attempted to repair it because I prefer my Festool Domino XL.? I have fit the machine with a pair of pneumatic clamps, which I am currently undecided about selling, but could part with at the right price.? The machine is single phase 230v 60hz with 4KW motors.? There is no scoring.? It has been a great machine and I have used it 3 to 5 days a week in a professional one man shop setting for the last 4 years. I will be thinking through pricing but feel free to private message me with interest or questions.? My contact information is below my name at the bottom of this message. Wanted to Buy I am hoping to find a 2004 or newer Felder 700 or 900 series saw, hopefully with dado capability and a 10' table.? It could be single or 3 phase and with or without digi drive etc...? (I would consider a used Format 4 saw or Martin if you have one but I would assume the price of these may be beyond my current finances). I am hoping to find a 2004 or newer Felder 700 series or 900 series shaper. The independent saw and shaper are my top priority, since another member in the maker space already has a jointer and planer, however I would be interested in a Felder or SCM separate jointer and planer. I would also be interested in a used Oneida 5hp or larger dust cyclone.? I currently have a 2HP Oneida V System cyclone that I use with the combination machine that serves the machine well but won't be very useful for separates.? My 2HP Oneida V System cyclone would possibly be for sale with the machine if you're interested. I am located in Oklahoma City, OK. I appreciate your time! Re: Minimum workpiece length for AD741 year 2016
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýA good guide is the distance between rollers, you can run shorter if you feed a piece behind it....Regards, Mark On Mar 15, 2021, at 6:08 PM, S L via groups.io <ayesurely@...> wrote:

Thanks again. I was going to buy but the knots thing said maybe not.I realized I hit knots every once and a while More so in Oak and Cherry. I have bad luck and $560 hanging from the wall is not good art. Lol Thanks for everyone¡¯s response. Doug

Re: Felder Universal Diamond saw blade, does anyone have or used one.
I had the Felder diamond blade and it was great until I made a VERY expensive stupid mistake by hitting a piece of metal. Talk about a depressing moment, the blade was ruined. For the short period of time I owned it I really liked it, it is notably quieter than any blade I¡¯ve used in past 30 yrs. I mostly used it on sheet goods including melamine and it did a great job without using scoring blade. I was also impressed with cuts if solid wood. At the end of the day I would not purchase it again as it is crazy expensive and one mistake and you have some very expensive wall art. You also need a thin riving knife to use with the diamond blade, I happen to have one for sale ?

Re: Felder Universal Diamond saw blade, does anyone have or used one.
I have it. It is a great blade. It is PCD tipped so it is incredibly sharp but it¡¯s is brittle so having knots or material change is not desirable. I have not hit any knots with mine yet but it has minimal tear out on cross cuts and rip cuts amazing. The sound is easily 15% less.?

Re: Felder AD 531
¿ªÔÆÌåÓýKeith, That can explain the noise. Hopefully, all will be well with new caps. Sorry for dragging on, but almost 30 yrs of design work inherently included root cause analysis. I miss work sometimes and this is therapeutic. Imran On Mar 14, 2021, at 10:46 PM, keith turner <keithturner01@...> wrote:

Keith,
In that case be careful running after cap install. Never heard of any racket with bad caps. The motor (and cutterhead) could oscillate but usually that is not a racket. Do you have chain for feed rollers? I can see that making noise if motor
was oscillating. I assume you don¡¯t have a separate motor for feed rollers and it is one of those with urethane covered wheel. Good luck.

Either way if the machine is old go ahead and replace both caps. You can look for them at following. I recently got in¡¯s from Mouser for my bandsaw.

I know others have bought replacements of Amazon. You need to look at the writing on the casing and get the appropriate one.. a search through the posts here might come up with the values. My machines are three phase
so I don¡¯t have the caps. Any local motor rewinding shop or electronics supply house should be able to supply replacements also.
