Hi JP,

Something is not right. My experience is similar to Tom G. I have no experience with Hammer but before RL125, I used 1000 CFM cyclone. OEM measures 1000CFM with 3ft straight pipe connected to the outlet, so much less with feet¡¯s of ducting and 10¡¯ of 5¡± spiral at the end. It worked adequately without plugging on my 18¡± woodmaster planer (poor collection hood) and also with 20¡± Dual 51.

May want to check if hammer has a baffle in the hood like on my felder and that it is not causing an obstruction or not working as intended.

I'd suggest checking the following:

-- Is there an obstruction somewhere in the hose?
-- Is there an obstruction somewhere in the dust hood??
-- Is it only the A3 41D that is experiencing the issue, or are your other machines similarly struggling with dust collection??
All of this seems fine. This is the only machine I am experiencing a problem with but the magnitude of material from the thicknesser is vastly more than any other machine. The closest in material in the planer (jointer) which are typically 1mm passes ¡ª no issues with that.?

My extractor is a Taiwanese white label machine ¡ª I guess you could take the CFM rating with a grain of salt. But it feels like enough. I wish we had access to Oneida where I live.?

I am thinking of replacing the bag filter with a pleated filter to reduce the dust ¡ª perhaps that might help with suction as well.?
