Re: Felder/Hammer setup in a small space

Hi David,

Good choice! ?I have both the Pantorouter and the Multi-router as well as the other machines you mentioned. They all have their places but I do feel that the multi-router is often the most satisfying to use and I try to work it into a project if I can. Try docking your Shaper Origin to the end of a king size bed rail! Mine is an old vintage from many years ago that I purchased used a decade ago and still runs and functions perfectly. For loose tenon joinery, it is unparalleled, particularly if you are batching out complicated parts. It does sometimes require some ingenuity in terms of fixture design. Now that Woodpecker has purchased the machine the documentation has already quantum leaped from where things were with JDS. In my experience, it's not as "easy" to use for integral tenon fitment if you prefer to adjust things on the tenon side as compared to the tapered tenons on the Pantorouter. I've ordered the upgraded stylus retrofit from Woodpecker and maybe that will improve things. At any rate, you can always cut your tenons first and fit the mortises if needed. ?I've been starting to design some tapered templates for the multi-router to see how they improve functionality.?

Best wishes,
Rick
