It works reliably on these dust collectors and is simple enough that even I could figure it out. The iVac remote itself isn't too different than the Festool. Just bigger.
Ultimately, I put the iVac current sensing switches on my Jointer/Planer, Bandsaw, and Tablesaw. I use the remote switch at my lathe and when I need to trigger my RL160 for things like vacuuming up around my lathe, etc.
