I have separates so I have no experience using a KF700, but I¡¯m surprised by your comment that using the shaper with the outrigger in place is a pain. For me ¡ª having no experience ¡ª I¡¯d think you¡¯d just move the sliding table along so that the outrigger is not in the way. Or if it is a sliding table locking thing, I¡¯d just slide the outrigger along the p-channel, and out of the way.

What am I missing?

Hi Acharya,
Although you haven't asked this, but having purchased the KF700S with 9' sliding table and knowing what I now know, I feel I would have been happier with the longer table.?
Also, removing the outrigger table is a PITA so I rarely do it.? Attempting to do any sort of jobs with the spindle moulder (with the outrigger in place) is frustrating.? Again, knowing what I know now, I would have purchased a seperate machine for my spindle moulder.??
Cheers
David
