428 Engine Brackets 7
Hello, I am looking to see if someone is willing to make a paper template of the 428 CJ Engine lift brackets. I am going to CNC plasma cut them since I am too cheap to buy real or reproduction ones. :) -- ============================================================ I am Linc..... Nationals in the Books 6
Hello, I hope that all of your have made it home safe, or are almost home safe. It was great to see you all again. As stated at the end of the ceremony, I am actively collecting VIN's again and updating information. So if you find new cars and owners, let me know. I am also going to remove Jon's contact information from the website and add my own unless one of you wants to be the 'contact person' for inquires. I know we do have at least one new member, Clark Forte, who owns a 68 Fairlane 500 Four Door. Once he posts for the first time, let give him a warm welcome. -- ============================================================ I am Linc..... Battery suggestion 27F 9
I need to replace my battery. My last two have been the Autolite reproductions. They never seem to last, don¡¯t like hot weather , and you can not use a trickle charger. Was thinking of either a Motorcraft or Optima. I like the full 36 month replacement warranty of the Motorcraft. What ever I buy I want the positive post to be away from the fender. Any input or thoughts? Thanks Jim of MO

Quarter window rubber seal needed 12
I need to replace the quarter window rubber molding for my 69 Sportroof Cobra. It fits on the driver side window and seals between the front and rear window side windows. I have searched some online and can't seem to find what I need. It may be the nomenclature I am using. I may also have to buy a more moldings that what I need, but I don't want to order a kit and find it is missing the molding I need. I don't mind having to buy all the moldings/seals but only need the ones that are located between the front and back side windows. Any help in providing a part number or correct nomenclature as well as a good company for this part would be greatly appreciated. Gary in SoCal

69 R code Cobra 6
I have been having a discussion with someone on a Torino forum that is telling me some 69 R code Cobras came from the factory with the pie cut outs not opened up to one full hole. I have never heard of this and know that if my hood had the unmodified pie cut outs, the flap that opens would hit the hood. He is also telling me the seal to the hood is not compressed so there should be clearance for the flap. My seal is deformed from contact compression and there is enough contact pressure that it has worn the paint to the primer. Is my Cobra unusual or does this guy not know what he is talking about? Virtual winter car show 2
There s a local car club that has started a virtual car show on Facebook. It really breaks up the monotony of no shows in the winter. The site is 2024Winterdaze on Facebook. There are about 150 vehicles registered on it now. I have 5 of mine on there. It would be fun to see some Fairlane cars on there. Registering for the show is free. Just post a pic of your ride.the registration is for another two days I believe. David Buchanan
