Statement from the Executive Committee related to Agenda item 6a) Proposed policy on COVID and public health mandates:?"We want members and chapters to be aware that we plan on discussing a possible position statement on covid mandates at the State Central Committee meeting on August 25. We, the EC members, are in agreement in support of such mandates, including vaccination, masks, and other necessary public health measures, as well as the US responsibility for international production and distribution of millions of vaccine doses in the Global South. However, we believe this issue is of such importance and controversial enough that it requires input from the chapters and a vote by the SCC before we take a public position."
