Selling my 97 full camper - what are these things really worth?

plevaron

I will be selling my EVC and wondering if I can get what my mechanic told me to ask for it, $60k. ?It has recently been converted to 5 speed manual transmission and had timing chain replacement as well as all engine gaskets and seals. The vehicle has 235k miles. All the camping equipment works, i.e. Norcold - DC/AC and propane; furnace; pop top screens recently replaced; Bilstien HD shocks recently installed; heater mixer box flaps recently repaired and heater core replaced; van was repainted 4 years ago but has slight rust on driver side door panel. It runs great and has no oil leaks.

$60K ???
It will depend on where it is, where you live.
60K might be a little high but the 5 spd. manual transmission, etc.
certainly makes it worth more than the run of the mill '97.
If the west coast, North West, Western Canada, maybe Colorado it
should easily bring 40k.

Assuming you are talking in US $, that is almost twice the amount an EVC of that age and mileage would sell for, check listings, they are running from $25-35,000 most places.?

I am in North Carolina, near Asheville.

As a quick check look over the prices being asked in ¡°The Samba¡± classified for Eurovans. That¡¯s where we found our 95 that had 285K miles (currently has 298K) listed for 20K and we ended up paying 15K after seeing the ad again months after passing when it was listed for 20K.

Good luck.
