This is amazing and very timely for me. I was really struggling with the flame not staying on just on my most recent trip. I love all of your posts and information, truly so useful and helpful! Thanks so much.

Last year I pulled my Norcold out of my 1995 EVC to change out the burner. This link was provided on this list before, this is my write up and pictures of the job which I posted up on TheSamba.com.

Just to second the recommendation to clear the lines. I replaced the burner a year ago, all was well. This year had issues after storage, but once I shop vacuumed out the fluent it’s worked better than ever.

To prevent bugs and wasps from entering any of the vents to your internal equipment, remove each vent and place stainless steel window screen across the hole through the body of the van and reapply the vent. No rust, heat-poof, and no more bugs invading your burner/furnace assemblies. Be sure to cover every vent.
