Intermittent Misfires on Startup

James Loomis All Messages By This Member #162371 My 2002 EVC runs rough on startup but runs great after a minute or two.? I have a check engine light and the following fault codes: 16524-Oxygen (Lambda)Sensor B1 S2 P0140b -35 - 00 - No Activity 16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected P0300 - 35 - 10? - Intermittent 16689 - Cylinder 5? P0305 - 35 - 10 - Misfire Detected - Intermittent 16687 - Cylinder 3? P0303 - 35 - 10 - Misfire Detected - Intermittent Because it runs fine after several minutes many of the obvious causes do not seem to be the problem.? I changed the spark plugs but the problem still exists.? I would appreciate any input about a possible cause. Thanks, Jim Loomis 2002 EVC
Wigen All Messages By This Member #162373 开云体育 When you changed the plugs did you look at them to see any thing different about 3 and 5 plug, they are next to each other at back engine. ? jim stewart All Messages By This Member #162374 Suggests to me that you should change the lambda sensor and see where that takes it. They are consumables anyway (50k miles IIRC) If you can read data then check temp sensors are reading something believable too.? James Loomis All Messages By This Member #162381 Thanks for your insight, which should have seemed obvious to me.? After looking at my maintenance records from 2017, it mentioned that the cylinders 3 and 5 spark plugs were wet with fuel.? At the time, a can of injector cleaner seemed to solve the problem.? I will try that again but it may be time for some new injectors.
