House battery for driver's seat with swivel?

 

I've been trying to search this group for the best option for a house battery for a Eurovan with a driver's side seat swivel. The search is proving futile so I'll just ask.

What wave people found to be the best solution? (2003 Weekender)

VW has them for about $100. Sears international battery is also good.

Which group size fits with the swivel? The stock battery is too tall.

Cole. ?I just installed an Interstate SLA 1180 under the driver's seat. I do NOT have the swivel (i actually just took the swivel off the passenger - for sale if anyone wants it) but i don't recall the swivel protruding down into the seat base.?

the sla 1180 is about 3.5 inch longer than the OEM 61ah VW battery and it is about 3/8 shorter than the VW battery. ? ?With discount 169, delivered from Interstate.

From my testing it looks like I'll still have to build 1/2" spacers for the swivel.?

Hope the driver isn't too tall....
Anyways, good luck.
Also, Interstate sends wrong bolts with the battery. They don't fit. ?I ordered 2 batteries, both came with non fitting bolts.

Shorter driver. Part of his motivation for the swivel is to gain seat height.?
