Throw in just some random colored wire that could either be a second negtive
or second postive (no explaination of course) and THEN you have German
wiring. You know the old saying about German cars: If it takes four bolts to
hold it on, they'll put on five.

i dont think so ! i have a german made 89 jetta that has red for 12V and
brown for ground are you sure someone has'nt been playing unkid jokes on you?
my 95 jetta is the same as my 89!
