Coolant hose connector 2000 EVC

Hi All,

A three way hose connector which also has a connection for a sensor blew up yesterday and I had the van towed to Sierra German Auto in Bishop Ca, which doesn’t open until Monday . ?The part # PA 66 GF 30, is no longer available from VW. The part number also only shows the hoses. The schematic doesn’t show the connector as part of the parts. Im attaching a photo of the connector that failed and I’m hoping that someone knows where I can source a replacement part. Any help and all help very much appreciated. Please feel free to text me directly at 831-359-6562.

Thank you!

I think that's just the type of plastic it's made of.? If you can get the p/n from the sensor that was mounted, that may allow better research.

Ok, thank-you Duane. Here’s the numbers I found on the sensor.

vw EH2 42-06
021 919 369

Thanks again,

David?

I was able to find out that the T was part of that included the hoses and sensor, VW p/n 7D0121156J.? Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any, nor just the T, so you'll likely end up kludging something together.

Thank you Duane! Good to have the correct part #. I also did a bit of Internet searching, but couldn’t find any matching parts either. Euro parts SD in San Diego has a thermostat and housing kit, but it doesn’t look anything like the three hose connector/flange with the thermostat. Hopefully the mechanic car will be able to splice something together. If I do find another flange from Another making model That works. I’ll share it on the group. Thanks again.

I managed to get everything back together with some spare parts I had along with a 1/2” T connector I purchased at O’Reilly auto parts. Thanks again for your help Duane!

David

Edited

I recently had the same part fail on my 2000 EVW and I repaired it in a similar way. However, I wanted to mention on mine the barbs were closer to 3/4“ with the flared ends actually a bulging a lil larger.

It’s possible on the EVC that it is 1/2”, but I wanted to mention this for the record.

But of course, YMMV ;-)

Yes, thank you for catching that Justin.. It was a 3/4” T connector not 1/2” like I stated. I was sleep deprived when I wrote that :-)?
