Boss BCP8AW Single-DIN CarPlay Install
开云体育I just finished installing a single-DIN 8" screen radio and wanted to share my experiences. ?It was a lot of work, but so far I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. ?This Boss model has just about everything I wanted (Single DIN install with floating screen, adjustable height, wired and wireless CarPlay and Android auto, backup camera, 10 band EQ, etc.) ? ?This unit also can be purchased with different screen sizes (7, 8, 9 or 10 inches) giving you a lot of flexibility.See my website for more details? I'm happy to answer questions here on the mailing list. |
开云体育Thanks, Bob that's interesting - seems like convergent evolution? Is yours a full camper? ?Did you also struggle with the backup camera wire routing as much as I did? ?I ran the wires through the hatch on the right, down to the floor, crossed over the left and then went behind the pantry and fridge on the left side. ?I read about some people who went along the top of the van and then dropped down in the front, but I wasn't sure that was feasible on the Winnebago camper or not...

Hi Michael,
Yep, mine is a 2003 full camper.? I ran the wire through the dash, then under the driver's door and through the cabinets on the driver's side.? Yes, it was a pain.? I put the camera just under the stoplight on the window, running the wire up the back and then down through the brake light.? It's got a great view and stays clean.? I usually run with a box on the back of the van so the camera misses all that as well as misses if I have bicycles on the back.? It was worth it in the end.?? |
For what it’s worth, my backup camera??has cabling running in the top.??Goes into the bit of fixed upper bed section first (mines a 95 camper) then goes inside trim around sliding door, into cab headliner above the passenger, down the windshield pillar trim and into the dashboard.
Wouldn’t work on a later model with the moving upper bed section.? Jim Le 26 mai 2024 à 01:30 +0200, Michael Diehr <md03@...>, a écrit : Thanks, Bob that's interesting - seems like convergent evolution? |
