Sound deadening

Has anyone in the group replaced the sound deadening in the lower body pan in a late model Eurovan?

I see a listing in VW dealer parts for a replacement- but it doesn't offer a picture or much info.

Mice have wrecked mine- and I am thinking either of getting an OEM replacement or just winging it with off-the-shelf replacement pads/panels/etc.

Amy comments appreciated.

Sound deadening? I would wing it with something like Dynamat. Not sure that any road or engine noise is reduced by anything in the sound-deadening pan BUT I would throw something down on the pan.

I have a couple of rolls of fat mat that I keep around and any time I remove trim or carpet from one of my cars I put it on. I have never just removed trim and carpet to put it down but I find it helps most with rattles and vibration related noises ie don't upgrade your door speakers without putting sound deadener on.?

Unsure if you meant the metal pan or the foam liner. If its the foam liner, get yourself an old mattress and rip it apart.
