EVC Essentials

As a new Eurovan camper owner Im trying to gather the ingredients of a well stocked camper.
Im curious what seasoned EVC owners have equipped themselves with, tools, spare parts, etc that are stashed in the camper at all times.
Also what camping, traveling supplies, etc are on your with you on your travels.
Im looking forward to learning from your experiences.

Which 'Eurovan Camper'?

That could be a very long list.

Fire extinguisher (extra one in my ''97EVC)
Tire pressure gauge
Flashlights, several including head lamp
GPS
Compass
Radar detector
small step stool
Assorted cooking implements and supplies, staples
(coffee, tea, sugar, salt, pepper, dry soups, canned goods, hot
chocolate, oatmeals, etc.)
(To save space I use an MSR backpacking cookset)
Various sized batteries AAA, AA,, etc.
Weather radio
Two small DC clip on fans
Two standard pillows w/pillow cases
Two bath towels
8-10 small white utility towels
2 rolls paper towns
Box plastic knives, forks, spoons
Disposable plates, bowls, cups
(not very 'green' but heating and washing dishes takes time)
Fridge fan
Spring loaded rods for securing items in fridge
Tools; screwdrivers, various pliers, metric socket set,
metric open & box end wrenches, strap wrench
Spare serpentine belt and correct bolt for releasing tensioner
Spare ignition switch
Spare coach battery solenoid
Quart engine oil
Extendable handle wheel lug wrench
Folding shovel
Hatchet
Short garden hose (to aid in filling fresh water tank)
Battery charger
Tow Strap
Length of rope
Set of Reflectix insulation panels
Insurance and vehicle registration material

there is probably some I've left out.

A fairly-low-wattage inverter to charge up your laptop or cordless razor or phone or camera battery. I use a 300W inverterand it works great for small items like that.

Hmmm....all good things to have, but I think he was asking what to
have and keep in the EVC all the time.
There is just so much room in and on an EVC and I don't think
the spare belly pan and two complete sets of tires would work very well.

Good listings!

Add: road flares or emergency triangles
Add: H4 headlamp bulbs and rear smaller bulbs
Add: extra oil filter
Add: two 12 inch lengths of a 4 x 10 to block the wheels
(Doubles as a foot rest for the front passenger)

What I did was segregate all that gear..
Most of you have already done this..

Tire tools and van spares go into RV battery compartment
Small stuff (fuses, voltmeter, small tools etc) under rear seat in a box
Camera gear between the front seats for easy access
Pills, first aid, flashlights in glove compartment
Survival gear under rear seat
Curtains, mosquito netting under rear seat

One way to think about all this stuff, is to imagine what is necessary should you go on a 10 day back-packing trip... plus stuff geared specfically for the Camper. Of course, all of us have a list of all this stuff somewhere handy for those *senior* moments.

This is fun seeing what else people find "essential"!

Some of the most important things we travel with are our coffee making supplies. I have found that a stovetop espresso maker (Moka) is much easier to clean up and use - especially when you use a "Dosacaffe" - you can see my post about that here:

PS - I've had a blo-poke for at least 30 years - awesomely effective, and
entertains adults and kids for the duration of the fire.
