What does ECM mean by "pending?"

r69s66 All Messages By This Member #104525 -The ECM has seen a problem and has flagged that code in memory. If it continues to see a problem with a misfire on a particular cylinder for example it will then set a "hard" code and trigger the light. If the problem corrects itself and goes away it will still keep the pending code is memory until someone clears the codes. Rick.
