Missing rear reflector

Due to vibration or theft, I am missing the left rear reflector
assembly on my 2002 Weekender. The reflector is a box that inserts
into the cavity below the tailight assembly. There are no electrical
components in it. Does anybody have one or know where one may be
available? Or........perhaps somebody may know the proper name of the
assembly.

These are in our online webstore Larry....in stock, too.
Or...you can convert this to a rear fog light.

My experience is that they come in two lens colors the red that matches the other lights and a slightly blacked out red. When I ordered a replacement I got the darker color which bothers me, but I am sure no one else notices.

I also noticed the color difference and it used to bug me too, but not enough to spend?another $30+ to fix it....Funny thing is that I see a lot of EV's around town with unmatched shades of rear reflectors....

When my 2001 EV was new, it had mismatched reflectors and I asked that a new
reflector replace the darker one. The dealer did that but, within a year,
the newer reflector changed color and darkened significantly. I am not sure
what the cause for the color change could be but I can live with the mismatched
colors.

Hi Larry,

It went in the mail today.

If you get the opportunity, keep the EV karma going and return a favor
to another EV'er someday.

I believe the lens colors are the same and it's the inner surface that is polished silver vs. not
(and it's possible that ones that go dark are ones with polished silver innards that go bad if it
leaks any and the water/condensation causes the silvery surface to deteriorate).

FWIW if you hack one into a real functioning rear foglamp (like I did), make sure you do it to one
of the "bright" lighter-colored ones since that has its silvery interior still intact which will
help give you the correct brightness of the foglamp.
