Need RF headlight and turn signal

Thomas Isom <[email protected]>

I am looking for a right front headlight and turn signal for my '93
EV. I lost the right front turn signal on the freeway on Saturday
night. The reason it fell out (second one that's fallen off in a
couple of months) is that the retaining clip on the headlight
mounting frame thingy is broken off so the turn signal is not held
in. Plus, the right front headlight has a corroded reflector due to
not being water tight. I also need the holder for the turn signal
bulb because the plastic broke where the retaining flanges are. The
flanges broke off and got lost with the turn signal. (I drove back
and forth on a stretch of the freeway at midnight in a wind storm
looking for the turn signal, but it was gone.)

I am considering converting to European H4 headlights, but the
simplest and cheapest option is to get another US-spec right
headlight. I could go with either the amber reflective US-spec turn
signals or some clear Euro-style ones (I bought those too, but lost
the right-side one). The clear Euro-style ones look good and I like
the little turn signal bulge, but the reflector kind are the proper
equipment for the U.S. and might possibly add some very slight margin
of safety (?). European automotive lighting is very good, but I do
think the U.S.-required side reflectors and side marker lights are
better/safer. (OTOH, the big white billboard-side of my EV isn't
exactly likely to escape notice even in poor visibility conditions.)

Anyone have a right headlight complete with plastic mounting frame?
Any turn signals? Thanks.

the only safety issue with the Euro spec is they have an Orange bulb,
while we in the US have a stupid bright orange corner with a clear
bulb. i went with the Euro look, LOOKS HOT on a silver van, completes
the front nicely.
Clear corners from www.importvision.com and i got the 4 round
headlights from ProjektZwo at www.1552design.com

May want to check out ep.com. There's an ad for a guy parting out
EVs.
