Some threads back - the Purolator oil filter for the EVC 5-cyl was discussed

The t # listed then was #4136. That number has been changed the new part
is #L40316

The filters are over-painted in olive drab and hand stamped “Made in
Germany’ The white Purolator box is also hand stamped “Made In Germany" in
purple ink.

My guess is a Mann or Deutsch filter repackaged. At $5.99 on sale (regularly
$6.99) who can complain!!!

And best of all it has the BELOVED 27 mm NUT on the bottom. To all those who
do their own oil changes, I highly recommend a filter with a nut for ease of
doing the NEXT oil change

Don’t have a 27 mm nut. A 1 and 1/16 inch socket is identical and works
just fine

I use these Purolator filters which I can get at Advance Auto. The
most recent filters I bought were made in the USA and somewhat
different from the last made in Germany filter I had.
