fuel line leak fix/notification

Fellow 93 EVers,

I never did receive any official notification from VW. I suggest you
get after it yourselves.

VW notified my dealer that my VIN was included, or the dealer called
VW to confirm it was. Any way, campaign UN requires that VW ship the
parts to the dealer. Which I guess means the dealer can't use his
own stock to meet the campaign requirements?

I suggest you call Sheila Eberle or John Van Holland of VW.
Unfortunately I think my notes are on my desk at work. It was an
area code "248" number and not/not the toll free. Contact me off
list on Tuesday and I should be able to find it.

Whatever you do and who ever you talk to, don't let them even ask you
the question "Do you have the leak now?" or "Has your EV leaked in
the past?". I didn't speak with them, as they called my wife at home.

The only pertinent info is whether your EV's VIN falls within the
range of manufacture for campaign UN. The recall is not/not specific
to leakers only. The more people who call and state their concern
about this potentially dangerous situation the better.

Hang in there and don't be afraid to fight the fight. Don't forget:
List members who read these posts are infinitely better informed
about the situation than VW itself seems to be. Use that information
to your advantage.
