EV in MI 2

Donald Gibbons

OK, bad movie. Too long on boring. They did blow up and crash lots of
fords. Thats good! But they also blew up a late right hand drive EV.
The IM guys were using it as their spy equipment car and a badie
stuck a bomb under it. But the good guy did get out just in time
cause he saw the bomb thru the EV's excelent side mirrors. Then you
get to see all the EV's parts go up in flames and fly everywhere.

Aw c'mon Don! ??Fords aren't THAT bad. ?My dad had a Pinto when I was in high school, and sure it was ugly but it had a made-in-Germany 2L inline four and a very nice short throw 4-speed with a shifter that was about chest high. ?

I also had a '65 Ranchero (Miss Scarlet) which was based on the Falcon. ?It had an inline 6 and 2-speed (!) automatic. ?I put in a pair of Recaro knock-offs from an '81 Scirocco. Really a cool car, and I wished I'd kept it. ?You could change a head gasket in about 45 minutes.

My uncle gave me a generic Ford wagon ?-- late 60's early 70's, I don't remember the year or model -- and it was a boat. ?I actually lived in it for about two months on a long between-college-and-real-life trip through the West. ?The oil looked like chocolate milk, but it was dead-on dependable. ?It had a 302 V-8 and an automatic. ?Pretty much the same 302 that Ford used for 30 years.

I think I saw just about every car made get blowed up in this movie
but the ones I saw the most were fords. LOTS of destruction in this
movie. Maybe second only to Ronin?

Ya, I've been through the Ford line also: 48 Club Coupe, 55 Fairlane, 65
Mustang, 68 Shelby GT350, 73 Pinto, 82 Lynx, and 73 Tracer. But most
importantly, the 71 Econoline has been my cherished vehicle for 29 years now.
