Nice job Don! ?Brighter than stock? ?What kind of beam? ?Did you fabricate the metal around the lenses? And the all-important question: "How much?"

开云体育it's a homemade solution using fibreglass,bondo
and the old headlights to make molds . the lights are
bosch 7'' H4's and vanagon
headlight assemblies. all parts were used so cost was low, probably under
$100.00 cdn. the bulbs are 80/100's and i
used relays. i just found the original ones were really weak
especially in the rain. the european pattern on the bosch
lights are much better. here's another shot from the side, i
also put a fuba above the front dome light !

开云体育no they're really H4's,actually canadian tire is
the best place to buy bosch round headlights for 89.95 cdn a pair.
they're better than sealed
beams! out here in ottawa we call it crappy tire .

开云体育Now the big question...
?
When are you going to start making them for sale?? They
look like a really good alternative to the VERY expensive ProjectZwo
ones...? And I can get replacement lamps in the States already.? I
would say your talents could pay for themselves if you would make a small run,
say six sets and see if you can sell them.? I would be
interested.

Agreed........ ??You could just put primer on them, or paint them black. ?I'd be interested.

开云体育thanks for the kind words.the projectzwo was partly the
inspiration for these lights and a picture i
saw in a 'vw porsche' magazine which showed a prototype of the
T4 eurovan with round lights.
as for manufacturing these i couldn't right now due to the
time consuming homemade nature of them.
i haven't had the motivation to repeat the process on my other
van !
ideally these should be stamped from steel as a one piece unit
including the lower fill piece below
the old lights. the headlight assemblies just need mounting
tabs integrated .
maybe another member has ties to a manufacturing
facility?
