Gee, another survey! I (and my wife) are 54. Bought our first VW camper when
we were 24 (1969). John 1McCulloch wrote: EV MV - 36. First one when I was 32.-- mailto:jwwaterman@... John Waterman Parker,CO |

We bought our EVC in 1/98 when I was 35 and my wife was 33. No prior
vans or campers, but multiple prior VWs. I would guess that my average age is a little over 28,
since I have been 56 for 5 months now. The 99EVC is my first VW camper, I had a 86 Vanagon GL, a 68 and 76 Ford Econoline - each with DIY camper conversions (bed and storage only). I had a 61 bug (bought used in 63) a 66 bug, a 77 Porsche 924 (which was more of a VW/Audi than a Porsche) and a 79 Dasher diesel. My wife (average age 27) has a 98 New Beetle. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Talk to your friends online with Yahoo! Messenger. |

We bought our 99EVC in August. Its due for the first scheduled maintenance. We have gone on several camping trips, Indian River Inlet in Delaware is our favorite so far, and have not had any trouble with it. We think its the best $33k we ever spent. This is our fourth VW. I got a look at the salesmans manual when he left his desk. The profile for a EVC buyer fit us perfectly. I guess he had us pegged as soon as he saw us. In 1981, I was a 24 year old mommy when I bought a 5 year
old 1976 Olive Green Westfalia Camper Van. I had a 1 and a 3 year old when I bought it. Shear brilliance. My children had a rich childhood with hundreds of stories of not only camping but playing in the car their whole life. I'm still driving it as my every day car today. We'll have 20 years of our life wrapped up in that car. This is the first time EVER I'm looking into replacing it. It's still in PRIMO condition. It HAS been a way of life. Kids are now 21 and 19 and are shocked that I'd even consider it. I'm tired of the stick shift and I'd like air conditioning otherwise I'd die owning that car. We still have the original tent (never been out of the box) Baby Hammock for over the front seat (Do the newer ones come with these?) Tables Utilities boxes Can't decide what to keep when we sell the car. Aleta Matthews 76 Westfalia Camper Van (green) Torrance, California I was wondering what the average age of a EVC owner ===== . . __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
