I just received VWs 2000 Press kit here at work a
few minutes ago and all
four versions (GLS, MV, MV Weekender and EVC) will
be offered by VW for 2000.
The only option is a sunroof on the GLS and MV.

Some changes to come mid year (production week 36)
will be chrome interior
door handles chrome ring on the shit knob and a
chrome button for the
parking brake.

A key operated remote control locking system is
standard as is tinted glass
(from the B pillar back) and a brake wear indicator.
The GLS can be ordered
with the separate middle seats in place of a bench.
Only the outboard seats
have three-point seat belts. Also on the GLS, two
additional reading lights
are provided.
