How long can you run the furnace in the EVC? Does it matter if the
engine is on or off? Is the furnace strictly propane fed?

First read the fine manual. But, in the meantime. Yes it runs off the propane tank and the camper battery. There is an "easy" seven step process to running the heater and the manual says ( without looking it up) it will run for like 36 hours continually but it actually cycles on and off likr your home furnace so it will run a very long time.

Until the deep cycle battery goes dead or you run out of propane! I
continue to be amazed at how long both last. I would expect you could
run three or four days in pretty cool weather on the propane.
Continuous running of the furnace blower will pretty much exhaust the
battery in one night.
