1997 VW Eurovan Fuel Line
Afternoon Yesterday I explained that the fuel line, just past the fuel filter, on my 1997 VW Eurovan, Full Camper had begun to seep and leak.? It appears the fuel line from that point to the engine fuel rail is a unit. Replacing the entire line looks difficult as it's enclosed in a woven sleeve with another line, cable? I didn't include a photograph. I've provided a picture as an attached file. Thoughts? Kent Kirkley |

I might be inclined to just replace the rubber hose part. Cut the metal fuel line ( carefully- no gas or vapors around) and use double hose clamps to clamp the new rubber line to the metal line. The pressure is 40 60 PSI- but if the hose clamp around the fuel
filter doesn't leak, a double clamp around the fuel line shojuld work too.
