Late 5 cylinder EV's - These HAVE a check engine light. By using a
simple jumper wire (sometimes supplied with the car!) you can watch
the check engine light flash the "blink" codes.

This would be the engine I have. Could you explain how this is done. Can
the codes be reset without the VW scan tool?
