Fearlessly 开云体育 God Luke 1:72-74 (NIV?) “… to remember his holy covenant, the oath he swore to our father Abraham: to rescue us from the hand of our enemies, and to enable us to serve him without fear.” This prophecy of Zechariah (Luke 1:68-79) was given by the Holy Spirit upon the birth of the priest’s son, who would grow up to be the man we know as John the Baptist. Zechariah and his wife were beyond their childbearing years. Yet, God had promised them a son, and now they and everyone who knew them had witnessed His power to do the seemingly impossible. In his outpouring of praise, Zechariah reminded his friends and neighbors of God’s covenant with Abraham and His promises to His people for power and deliverance. We need that reminder, too. We’ve become increasingly reluctant to talk about what Jesus has done for us for fear that we will offend someone or forfeit an opportunity because of our faith. I freely admit those things might happen. But I promise you that even if they do, God’s blessings upon us will be far greater than anything we may seem to have lost. THINK ABOUT IT Recalling God’s faithfulness and promises will help you serve Him without fear, freeing you to make a greater difference for His Kingdom than you ever imagined. PRAYER Heavenly Father, forgive me for when I have been fearfully silent regarding who You are and what You have done for me. I remember Your steadfast love, faithfulness, and mercies. Deliver me from immobilizing fear, and free me to serve You with my life and voice, honoring Jesus every place You take me. In His name, amen. Good evening everyone, Just thought I would take a minute and check-in. It was beautiful 60 degree day here in west Michigan. We finally got the house put back together. And, I finished my "spring cleaning" while we were at it. Yesterday when I finished my "Son"day shares, I decided to install one of my programs to my new computer. It asked me to reboot, so I did, and when it came back up, it was in safe mode! I have no idea why.. and I didn't know howto fix it.. so, this morning, off to Crashmasters it went. He said it would be a couple of days. It was really strange.. because it wasn't like it was something I had never used, and have installed on my laptop, as well. We just finished supper and dishes, just settling in for the evening with a cup of tea and a Hallmark movie. I have laundry to do tomorrow but, hope to be able to do a little sharing in the morning. Sam has an appointment at the Vet in the afternoon. Hope you All had a good day, and that you have a restful night's rest. Proverbs 4:20-22 May 04, 2025 Today's Scripture My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:20-22 Healing comes through the Scripture and the Spirit. Not only does He forgive all of our sins, He promises to heal all of our diseases, too (Psalm 103:3). The Word of God speaks healing to us. When we cry out to the Lord in our troubles, He sends His Word to heal us, to deliver us from distress and darkness, even the very shadow of death. He breaks our chains into pieces (Psalm 107:13,14,20). Our verse for today says that His Words bring life and health to our flesh. As we read His Word, as we memorize and internalize it, as we apply it and walk it out, it translates into healing and wholeness for us. One of the most powerful things that you can do to improve your health is to read God’s Word. Not only does God heal through His Word, He heals through His Holy Spirit. According to Romans 8:11, the Holy Spirit raised Christ from the dead. As believers, that same Spirit lives in us. The Word tells us that Spirit will quicken our mortal bodies. He will bring new strength and new vitality to us — now and eternally. As we immerse ourselves in the words of the Father, our faith unfurls and blossoms. Mustard-seed faith can move mountains of medical impossibility! As the Spirit comes alongside to convict us of our sin and convince us of His righteousness, we recognize our need to confess. He trades our sin for salvation and mends our broken hearts. As we heed His counsel, we find the power to forgive. When we find the strength to let go, we are set free. Our Good Shepherd anoints our heads with the oil of His Spirit, and we flourish even in the presence of our enemies (Psalm 23). The Lord is our Healer. Blessing Heavenly Father, as I read Your words, help them come alive to me. Help me to store them deep in my heart. Let them be life, truth, and light to me. Renew and restore me through the power of Your Holy Spirit. I believe that You are my Healer. In Jesus’ name… Amen. Faith to Faith - Daily Devotional May 02, 2025 Train Your Spirit by: Gloria Gopeland It [grace] has trained us to reject and renounce all ungodliness (irreligion) and worldly (passionate) desires, to live discreet (temperate, self-controlled), upright, devout (spiritually whole) lives in this present world. Titus 2:12, The Amplified Bible When an athlete goes into training, he practices to improve his skills. He works hard, repeating the same motions over and over until they become what we’d call “second nature” to him. Most of us understand how crucial that kind of training is in the physical realm. We know that you simply can’t be a winner without it. But did you know we can train ourselves that same way where spiritual things are concerned? That’s right! Hebrews 5:14 says we can train our senses to discern between good and evil. When you train, or practice, for something, you expose yourself daily to whatever it is you want to become. You practice it over and over until it becomes second nature to you. People who are lazy have practiced being lazy. People who are disciplined have practiced being disciplined. Spending time with God is “spirit” practice. As you do it diligently, your spirit will grow stronger and will start to overcome the habits of the flesh. If, for example, you have trouble getting up in the morning to spend time with God before the busyness of the day begins, if you’ve been giving in to your flesh and staying in bed, then you’ll have to start practicing getting up. The more you practice it, the easier it will be. Don’t expect yourself to do it perfectly right from the beginning. Don’t get discouraged when you stumble and fail. You’re just out of practice. Get back on your feet and go at it again! Become a spiritual athlete. Put yourself in training by practicing the things of God. Build your spirit muscles through fellowship with Him. You will be surprised to find just how much of a winner you can be. Good morning After a beautiful 70° day yesterday, it's only 46°here in west Michigan this morning. I just thought I would take a minute and let you all know I won't be on here the rest of the day. Our landlord has been bugging us about windows all winter long. He ordered them last November and even though we are thankful he's waited for the weather to be a little warmer.. it's still going to disrupt our week. So anyway, we have to get things moved around so they can get to them.. then put everything back when they are done. As old as the house is, I hope they don't run into any snags. We are usually camping already, we didn't take the camper up yet so that I have a place to be while they work. So, tomorrow while I am out in the camper, I will be able to sit and play on the pc.. We are suppose to get some rain and possible storms, I pray they don't end up changing the day! I want it done and over with, so we can go on with Spring and Summer. Become a Prayer Warrior Psalm 119:147-148 (NIV?) I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in your word. My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises. Every morning a group meets at our church to pray. I could write a book about all the things they have accomplished through prayer. Hardened sinners have come to Jesus. Relationships have been restored. People have been healed. Desperate situations have been resolved. Projects and programs of our church have been successful. They take prayer as seriously as anyone I’ve ever known because they know it works. The early believers knew the power of prayer, too. Even though the rulers had tried to shut them down, they prayed, “Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” Then “the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly” (Acts 4:30, 31, NIV?). They prayed for God to act, and He did! I hope that through this journey, prayer will become a regular part of your day. I hope you will learn to pray with all the resolve of a warrior walking onto a battlefield. And when the Lord answers your prayer, give Him all the glory He deserves. You will remind yourself and others just how powerful He is, and you will want to turn to Him again and again. THINK ABOUT IT “In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Faith to Faith - Daily Devotional Don't Let the Devil Put One Over on You Gloria Copeland When [the devil] speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. - John 8:44 Some people find it difficult to believe God’s promises because they’ve seen so many things in the natural world that seem to contradict them. They’ve seen faithful tithers go broke. They’ve seen sick Christians fail to receive their healing. In reality, it would be more accurate to say that they think they’ve seen those things. Because, you see, there’s a deceiver at work in the world. A deceiver who’s busily doing the same thing he’s been doing ever since the Garden of Eden: tricking mankind into believing God’s Word isn’t true. And, after working on it for thousands of years, he’s a master at it. Think about that the next time he tries to make things look as though God’s Word is not going to work for you, when he makes it look like all hope is lost. Say, “I don’t care about appearances. I believe the Word and I refuse to doubt it.” Let me show you what I mean. Have you ever seen a magic show where someone crawls inside a box and then is sawn in half? You can see it with your own two eyes. The guy’s feet are sticking out one end of the box and his head is poking out the other, and the box is plainly cut in two. Then the magician slides the two halves back together and the sawed-apart fellow jumps out of the box in one piece. Now tell me, did you really believe, even for a moment, that fellow was truly cut in half? Of course not! You knew that you’d seen a trick, a deception, something that appeared one way when, in reality, it was a different way altogether. You may not have known how it was done. You may not have been able to explain it. But you knew a person couldn’t be sawn in half, then put back together, so you refused to believe your eyes. That’s exactly the way you need to be where the Word of God is concerned. You need to learn to trust it and rely on it to such an extent that when Satan shows you something in the natural world that appears to contradict it, you just say, “Well, I saw that, but I’m not going to be gullible enough to believe it. I’m just going to stick with the Word.” If you’ll do that, the father of lies will never be able to put one over on you. Over the weekend she was feeling better and today she was back in to see her Dr and now has an UTI with lots of blood in her urine. 1 Peter 2:24 April 28, 2025 Today's Scripture Who Himself bore our sins in His own bod on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24 Our God is a Healer. Jesus purchased our salvation at Calvary, and He paid for our healing. He was wounded for what we did. He was crushed for our crimes. He was punished so we could find peace. He was hurt so we could be made whole (Isaiah 53:5). We serve a Deity who loves us. He is not mad at us; He is mad about us. If we need healing in our emotional lives, in our spiritual walks or in our physical bodies, He is our Healer. If we want His joy to return and be our strength again, if we want His peace to be our portion, if we long for our broken hearts to be restored, He has power to heal. He sent His word to heal us. No sickness, no disease, no ailment or infirmity exists that He has not conquered. He not only forgives our sins, but He heals all of our diseases. He redeems our lives from destruction and makes us young again (Psalm 103:3-5). He heals the brokenhearted and bandages our wounds. He renews our hope and heals our bodies (Psalm 147:3). Malachi 4:2 paints a beautiful picture for those of us who honor and worship His name. He promises that the Sun of Righteousness will arise with healing in His wings, and we will leap forth like well-fed calves released from the stall – healthy and happy in the presence of our Healer! Jesus, our Father in the flesh, went about healing all kinds of sickness and disease. The leper and the lame, the mute and the maimed, the blind and the brokenhearted, the hopeless and the helpless – He healed every one. Yesterday, today and forever, Jesus remains the same (Hebrews 13:8). The stripes on His back that He received at Calvary still have the power to make us whole. Are you hurting? Ask Him to heal you. Are you tormented? Ask for the touch that brings liberation. Are you brokenhearted? Ask Him to bind up your wounds. Are you afflicted with disease? Ask for the word that brings deliverance. From the very beginning, God has assured us, “I am the Lord Who heals you” (Exodus 15:26). Take Him at His word today. Blessing My Lord Who heals me, I thank You for the stripes that Jesus took on His back for my healing. I ask that You would restore my joy. I ask that You would heal my body from all sickness and disease. I ask that You would increase my faith to receive this gift of healing, and that You would grant me peace as I wait for the answer.
