Good morning After a beautiful 70° day yesterday, it's only 46°here in west Michigan this morning. I just thought I would take a minute and let you all know I won't be on here the rest of the day. Our landlord has been bugging us about windows all winter long. He ordered them last November and even though we are thankful he's waited for the weather to be a little warmer.. it's still going to disrupt our week. So anyway, we have to get things moved around so they can get to them.. then put everything back when they are done. As old as the house is, I hope they don't run into any snags. We are usually camping already, we didn't take the camper up yet so that I have a place to be while they work. So, tomorrow while I am out in the camper, I will be able to sit and play on the pc.. We are suppose to get some rain and possible storms, I pray they don't end up changing the day! I want it done and over with, so we can go on with Spring and Summer. Become a Prayer Warrior Psalm 119:147-148 (NIV?) I rise before dawn and cry for help; I have put my hope in your word. My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises. Every morning a group meets at our church to pray. I could write a book about all the things they have accomplished through prayer. Hardened sinners have come to Jesus. Relationships have been restored. People have been healed. Desperate situations have been resolved. Projects and programs of our church have been successful. They take prayer as seriously as anyone I’ve ever known because they know it works. The early believers knew the power of prayer, too. Even though the rulers had tried to shut them down, they prayed, “Stretch out your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” Then “the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly” (Acts 4:30, 31, NIV?). They prayed for God to act, and He did! I hope that through this journey, prayer will become a regular part of your day. I hope you will learn to pray with all the resolve of a warrior walking onto a battlefield. And when the Lord answers your prayer, give Him all the glory He deserves. You will remind yourself and others just how powerful He is, and you will want to turn to Him again and again. THINK ABOUT IT “In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Faith to Faith - Daily Devotional Don't Let the Devil Put One Over on You Gloria Copeland When [the devil] speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. - John 8:44 Some people find it difficult to believe God’s promises because they’ve seen so many things in the natural world that seem to contradict them. They’ve seen faithful tithers go broke. They’ve seen sick Christians fail to receive their healing. In reality, it would be more accurate to say that they think they’ve seen those things. Because, you see, there’s a deceiver at work in the world. A deceiver who’s busily doing the same thing he’s been doing ever since the Garden of Eden: tricking mankind into believing God’s Word isn’t true. And, after working on it for thousands of years, he’s a master at it. Think about that the next time he tries to make things look as though God’s Word is not going to work for you, when he makes it look like all hope is lost. Say, “I don’t care about appearances. I believe the Word and I refuse to doubt it.” Let me show you what I mean. Have you ever seen a magic show where someone crawls inside a box and then is sawn in half? You can see it with your own two eyes. The guy’s feet are sticking out one end of the box and his head is poking out the other, and the box is plainly cut in two. Then the magician slides the two halves back together and the sawed-apart fellow jumps out of the box in one piece. Now tell me, did you really believe, even for a moment, that fellow was truly cut in half? Of course not! You knew that you’d seen a trick, a deception, something that appeared one way when, in reality, it was a different way altogether. You may not have known how it was done. You may not have been able to explain it. But you knew a person couldn’t be sawn in half, then put back together, so you refused to believe your eyes. That’s exactly the way you need to be where the Word of God is concerned. You need to learn to trust it and rely on it to such an extent that when Satan shows you something in the natural world that appears to contradict it, you just say, “Well, I saw that, but I’m not going to be gullible enough to believe it. I’m just going to stick with the Word.” If you’ll do that, the father of lies will never be able to put one over on you. Good evening everyone, I have a prayer request for my eldest daughter Becki Mosher. Last week she had a kidney infection and passing stones. Over the weekend she was feeling better and today she was back in to see her Dr and now has an UTI with lots of blood in her urine. Her Dr is testing to make sure it isn't a bad infection or something else is going on.Please keep her in your prayers. 1 Peter 2:24 April 28, 2025 Today's Scripture Who Himself bore our sins in His own bod on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 1 Peter 2:24 Our God is a Healer. Jesus purchased our salvation at Calvary, and He paid for our healing. He was wounded for what we did. He was crushed for our crimes. He was punished so we could find peace. He was hurt so we could be made whole (Isaiah 53:5). We serve a Deity who loves us. He is not mad at us; He is mad about us. If we need healing in our emotional lives, in our spiritual walks or in our physical bodies, He is our Healer. If we want His joy to return and be our strength again, if we want His peace to be our portion, if we long for our broken hearts to be restored, He has power to heal. He sent His word to heal us. No sickness, no disease, no ailment or infirmity exists that He has not conquered. He not only forgives our sins, but He heals all of our diseases. He redeems our lives from destruction and makes us young again (Psalm 103:3-5). He heals the brokenhearted and bandages our wounds. He renews our hope and heals our bodies (Psalm 147:3). Malachi 4:2 paints a beautiful picture for those of us who honor and worship His name. He promises that the Sun of Righteousness will arise with healing in His wings, and we will leap forth like well-fed calves released from the stall – healthy and happy in the presence of our Healer! Jesus, our Father in the flesh, went about healing all kinds of sickness and disease. The leper and the lame, the mute and the maimed, the blind and the brokenhearted, the hopeless and the helpless – He healed every one. Yesterday, today and forever, Jesus remains the same (Hebrews 13:8). The stripes on His back that He received at Calvary still have the power to make us whole. Are you hurting? Ask Him to heal you. Are you tormented? Ask for the touch that brings liberation. Are you brokenhearted? Ask Him to bind up your wounds. Are you afflicted with disease? Ask for the word that brings deliverance. From the very beginning, God has assured us, “I am the Lord Who heals you” (Exodus 15:26). Take Him at His word today. Blessing My Lord Who heals me, I thank You for the stripes that Jesus took on His back for my healing. I ask that You would restore my joy. I ask that You would heal my body from all sickness and disease. I ask that You would increase my faith to receive this gift of healing, and that You would grant me peace as I wait for the answer. Psalms 97:12 April 27, 2025 Today's Scripture Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous, and give thanks at the remembrance of His holy name. Psalm 97:12 Because of the work that He completed at Calvary, God has given Jesus Christ a name above every other name (Philippians 2:9). Faith in that name makes us strong (Acts 3:16). His name justifies us (1 Corinthians 6:11). The name of Jesus brings life (John 20:31). In the name of Jesus, signs and wonders are accomplished (Acts 4:30). Miracles occur! In the name of Jesus, demons are cast out (Acts 16:18). They must flee! In Jerusalem, after the Day of Pentecost, the disciples preached the word with boldness. Thousands were saved and baptized. The disciples healed the sick. They cast out demons. And they did it all in the name of Jesus. The religious rulers were so disturbed by their behavior that they arrested them, beat them, and commanded that the disciples no longer speak or teach in the name of Jesus. They departed from the council, rejoicing that they were worthy to suffer shame for His name, and they did not cease to teach in His name (Acts 5:41-42). The name of Jesus Christ has dominion today! When we speak that name, all of heaven stands behind it. When we speak that name in prayer, all of the power and authority of God come to our aid. Speak it out loud and often! In the name of Jesus, leave my family alone because they belong to the King of kings. In the name of Jesus, leave my marriage alone because what God has brought together, let no man separate. In the name of Jesus, leave my body alone because by His stripes, I am healed. Colossians 3:17 says, “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.” How would your life be revolutionized if you brought every action and every word that you speak under the name of Jesus? How would it look different? Sound different? Let’s see how our homes, workplaces, and cities change when we declare the banner of Jesus over them. It’s a comfort and confession, a hope and a healing, a bandage and a battle cry. Speak the name! Blessing Precious Jesus, I pause as I say Your name. I breathe it in, and I focus on all that You have done and all that You are to me. He Is Not Here—He Has Risen! Matthew 28:6 (NASB?) “He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said.” One year, I was asked to be on a television program in the days leading up to Easter. It wasn’t a Christian station or program, but I was glad to participate and talk about Easter. When the production team called, they said, “We want to do a short segment on Easter, just three or four minutes.” “Okay,” I said. Then they said, “This isn’t a religious program.” I replied, “Yes, I know, but Easter is about Jesus of Nazareth. He died on a Roman cross, and God raised Him to life again. That’s the story of Easter. That’s why we celebrate.” They said, “Well, we’ll have to talk to the program manager and call you back.” Unsurprisingly, I never heard from them again. I’m not opposed to the secular things that are a part of Easter. Bunnies, egg hunts, and candy just give me an opening to talk about Jesus. But the real story is, “He is not here. He has risen!” That is the wonderful truth about Easter that our friends and neighbors desperately need to hear. THINK ABOUT IT Without the resurrection of Jesus from death, His birth and sacrifice on the cross would not be sufficient to offer us eternal redemption. Let’s celebrate Jesus’ resurrection! PRAYER Heavenly Father, thank You for Your great love in sending Your Son, Jesus, who offered Himself so I might be redeemed and enjoy eternal life with You. Jesus is alive! I rejoice that the same Spirit that brought Jesus out of the tomb is alive within me today. In His name, amen.
