Day 18: The Grand Designer January 18, 2025 by Marsha G. Richards Psalm 139 “For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was not one of them.” For years I did not fully appreciate how God had created me, but in my thirties I was finally able to count as blessings all of my less-than-perfect physical attributes, and to even thank the Lord for the way I was fearfully and wonderfully made. The Grand Designer chose my eye, hair, and skin color; He chose my gender and size and frame. From the inside out He knitted me together to be the exact human being He desired me to be—all for His purposes—created and chosen to be His. My imperfections were created by a perfect God Who has never made a mistake with in how He has created us. No matter the many flaws, inside and out, how can I not thank my heavenly Father for the blessing of creating me the way He ordained? Tomorrow is the official day set aside as Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. This year’s March for Life on January 24 marks fifty-two years of holding to this tradition when tens of thousands of folks are willing to brave the cold—and even snow—to take a stand and march for the lives of the unborn. Many will undoubtedly speak of the hope that was finally realized with the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision being reversed two years ago. Even still, the lives of the unborn are threatened and need to be protected. Each precious life, as an “unformed substance,” is seen by a holy God, and every day is ordained for them, with a specific plan and purpose. The Lord bestows His blessing on every created life before they are even born! There may be some who are uncertain and even fearful about bringing a child into today’s world. God’s blessed plan hasn’t changed through the ages…each human being is created by God’s will, His magnificent purpose, divine design, and glorious grace! Let us thank Him for creating us for His pleasure and purpose and make the commitment to live for His praise! Dear heavenly Father, we praise You that You are the Grand Designer, that each one of us is fearfully and wonderfully made by You for your specific purposes. Forgive us, Lord, when we question Your design and complain about the things we don’t like. More importantly, dear God, forgive us, we pray, for thinking and even acting upon the assumption that each human life is not precious to You, that we have the choice to destroy Your creation. How grieved you must be, O Father. Have mercy on us, we beg. In the Holy name of Jesus we pray. Amen. Proverbs 18:10 January 26, 2025 Today's Scripture The name of the Lord is a strong tower, The righteous run to it and are safe. Proverbs 18:10 If there was ever a time in our modern society when we needed to hear from heaven, it is now. We need God to move on our behalf each and every day to keep watch over us and protect us, to lead us and guide us. We need favor and blessing of God upon our lives and the lives of our family members. We need an infusion of the Holy Spirit in our households so that we may dwell in peace even when it seems that all hell is breaking loose. Remember, our God is a strong tower! We can run to Him in the day of adversity and be saved. He is all-knowing and all-powerful. You have never faced an enemy that could not be defeated by the almighty God. When things appear grim and you are surrounded by adversity, look to the One who holds the world in the palm of His hand—who knows your every thought and counts your every tear—and rest assured that everything is going to be alright. You may feel like the only one on the planet who is trying to live a righteous life, but stand firm, persuaded that the fight belongs to the Lord. He will protect and sustain you when you put your life in the His capable hands. Our God is an awesome God! Blessing Father, bless us and keep us. Help us to always celebrate the blessings that You have poured out in our lives, especially those wonderful individuals that we have given ourselves to in covenant relationship. The Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem is a place that will make you reexamine your life and your priorities. On its grounds are trees planted in remembrance of “The Righteous Among the Nations,” non-Jews who risked their lives to help Jewish people during the Holocaust. When I have visited the museum with Jewish friends, I’ve been asked, “Why are there so few trees? Why were more people not willing to stand up for us?” Showing boldness for God and His people has challenged every generation. It is one thing to serve Him when it brings smiles and gratitude. It is another thing to serve Him when it brings anger and persecution. Peter had experienced both of those scenarios, and he was willing to keep doing the right thing and leave the outcome to God. Good morning everyone, I won't be online much for the next few days, we had a go-around with Frontier Communications. We never received our bill for December. So when it finally came in last week, I made out the check and mailed it in. The bill was due Feb. 6th, and this morning we had no internet. Instead of waiting until their due date, they cut it off! We have have been with Frotier (verizon) for 30yrs, and they pull a stunt like this! So... we are switching to Xfinity. They will be out to install it on Saturday afternoon. I'm using my cell phone hotspot at the moment, so I can send out this message. I don't want to overuse my data, so I will be off until the weekend. If anyone has some information on a good antiviris it would be appreciated. I have always used Frontier's. Good afternoon everyone I appreciate all of you who responded to me about an antivirus, Thank You so much. I am not very "cell phone" saavy.. because I do prefer a computer. But, I did figure out my "data warning" messages.. I thought it had to do with the hot-spot, when it was how much data I was using at a time. We have unlimited, so it didn't make sense. Come to find out, they only had it set at 2GB. When we have 50GB! So, I was able to change that, and the warnings have stopped. Thank goodness.. I'm going crazy without being able to get online first thing in the mornings! Getting the new internet service set up tomorrow, can't get here soon enough. So, today I'm getting a little caught up on mail.. espeically tuts, tubes and etc. to save. I had such a rough year, last year, a lot of things just didn't get taken care of. February 2, 2025 Philippians 4:19 Today's Scripture And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:19 Today’s Scripture doesn’t say, “My God shall give me what I want.” It says that He’ll supply all my needs. I need a Savior. I need someone to wash sin out of my life. I need a scapegoat who can bear the guilt of my transgressions and iniquity and die in substitution of what I deserve. I don’t get what I want. But thank God, He loves me so much that He gives me the supplies I need. I don’t know what you want in your life today, but I know that if you need something, Jesus Christ is all-sufficient. Jesus Christ is El Shaddai. He is a way maker. He is a yoke and bondage breaker. He is the Prince of Peace who can soothe your tormented mind. He is the Provider who can open up the windows of heaven and shower you with blessings that you cannot contain. He is the Healer who can touch a sick body and make it strong again. He is the Banner in battle who will give you victory when defeat looks imminent. Stop begging God for what you want and start praising God that He has supplied your every need according to His riches in glory! Blessing I thank You that You’re in this place, and that with our hands lifted and our hearts extended, we can, in faith, reach out and touch You. I thank You, Father, that in reaching for You, You have already reached toward us and given us blessings which are limitless and know no measure.
