Holy Week: Holy Tuesday!
Jesus teaches in parables and delivers the Olivet Discourse.
~ Mark 11:27-12:44
And they came again to Jerusalem.
And as he was walking in the temple,
the chief priests and the scribes and
the elders came to him, and they said
to him,”By what authority are you doing
these things, or who gave you this
authority to do them?”
Jesus said to them, "I will ask you
one question; answer me, and I will
tell you by what authority I do these
things. Was the baptism of John from
heaven or from man? Answer me.”
And they discussed it with one?
another, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’
he will say, ‘Why then did you not believe
him? ‘But shall we say, ‘From man’?”
- they were afraid of the people, for they
all heard that John really was a prophet.
So they answered Jesus, “We do not know.”
And Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell
you by what authority I do these things.”

Good morning everyone?
It's a chilly 37 degrees here in west Michigan this morning, but sunny.
We have haircut appts at noon, and then going to do a little shopping.
I will try and be on for a while when we get back. I?just wanted to get a couple of shares in before we go.
We have our eye appts tomorrow morning and then I have my entyvio
treatment on Thursday afternoon.. busy, busy this week.

The Narrow Gate
Matthew 7:13 (NIV?)
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.”
As Jesus-followers, we are called to walk a pathway that is a little less conventional because of the character choices it requires. The best way to do that is to make pleasing God the overarching goal of our lives. Open your calendar for tomorrow and look at the things that will occupy your day. Then ask God, “In the midst of all these things, how might I please You?” We must intentionally choose to make some counterintuitive responses to life in order to walk His pathway and not drift along in the cultural mainstream. When your objective is to no longer look like most others look and choose what most others choose, you’ll be in a place where you can more clearly see God’s will and purposes for your life. You’ll demonstrate to all who know you that following Jesus is the best way to live.
THINK ABOUT IT
Pray for God to direct your path. Even though it is narrow and difficult, it leads to eternal life—and He will give you strength and wisdom for the journey.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, more than anything in life, I desire to please You. May my words and actions demonstrate my loyalty to You. Refine my dreams and aspirations so You are central in them all, and help me consistently glorify You in all my choices. In Jesus’ name, amen. | |

The Gospel Is Power
Romans 1:16-17 (NIV?)
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed.
Some descriptions of the gospel make it sound like a cozy feeling that we lean on when we’re feeling unsettled. But the gospel is more than that. The gospel is about the power of God. And the gospel cannot be separated from Jesus’ sacrificial death on the cross. The cross of Christ is not politically correct, but it was brutal and necessary. Neither is the gospel politically correct. In fact, those who refuse to believe call it foolishness (1 Corinthians 1:18). When we talk about Jesus’ death on the cross and the good news of the gospel, we’re talking about the power of God that was demonstrated in the most remarkable way so you and I could be set free. It’s a mistake to tell others that we can shake loose from evil simply by the strength of our will. We need to tell people about Jesus and the salvation only He provides.
THINK ABOUT IT
When we are bold about our faith and our biblical worldview, it encourages believers around us to be bold in theirs, too.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, spiritual battles are evident in the earth, and You have called me to bring Your Truth into the world around me. Give me wisdom, courage, and boldness to speak the truth in every place You lead me. In Jesus’ name, amen. | |

Good Afternoon - April 10th
Good afternoon everyone
It's 40° and cloudy here in west Michigan, hope this finds you All doing well
today. I've been busy this morning reading up on desktop computers. I received
an email from DeLL with some sales.. so, looks like I am getting an upgrade now,
instead of waiting for Win10 to?no longer update. (Oct. 2025)? So, next week I
will have my work cut out for me, getting it all set up. Hopefully, this new one
will last another 10+ years like this one did. I will miss my win10.. but, will deal
with win11 because we all know our programs & IM are compatible with it.
My arm & hand a feeling so much better from the rest and excerises. I am hoping
to be able to do more in groups than I had been.. but, just not going to over-do
and end up where I was. Off to do a little sharing now, before lunch..time sure
flies when you're sorting things, or researching something!

Luke 23:34

Today's Scripture
that you know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God
Luke 23:34
French philosopher, Blaise Pascal, alluded to a God-shaped hole inside of each one of us in his work, Pensées. Augustine, in his Confessions, declared that “our hearts are restless till they find their rest in you.”
We can find ourselves attempting to fill that aching void with the obligations, pleasures, and busyness of this life. We earn advanced degrees. We pursue careers with single-minded ambition. We devote ourselves to the health and welfare of our children. We aspire to achieve more and more, yet it never seems to arrive. We often are left exhausted and empty by the pursuit. We can become so full of ourselves that there is no room for the God we claim to serve.
Will we deny our own ambitions to serve Jesus? There is a place of surrender where our will is exchanged for His, where we submit to His purposes, where we are filled with the fullness of God. We may need to draw boundaries, to be stingier with our “yes” to lesser things. When we pour out our lives to Jesus, we find ourselves empowered and energized by the Holy Spirit. When we co-labor with Christ, His plan is brought to fruition in our lives. Along the way, we find love, joy, peace, and goodness. Let us be filled with the fullness of God Himself!
Blessing
Heavenly Father, come fill us to the brim with You. Come in to abide with us, to fill us with the fullness of Your power and love. We submit our lives, our wills, and our desires to You. Make us part of Your plan. In the name of Jesus… Amen.
