I went over the executive orders Trump signed the first day, and noticed these two as applying to "Energy" and "Environment"

First - he declared a National Energy Emergency on false premises

Second - I haven't fully examined it, but it seems that under the pretext of an Emergency that they want to suspend clean air and clean water laws and other environmental protections and climate change measures

Third - There is an explicit call to suspend the right some states have to set their own clean air requirements

The last is a direct assault on CARB.? California declared a right to set its own clean air standards before the EPA even existed.? The rise of electric vehicles is due in part to CARBs existence.

In September 2019, the Trump administration had launched an attack on CARBs existence.

The rules CARB develops are used by ?19? other states.

Now is the time to advocate even more for EVs, for those who want to stand against the new regime, manifest energy independence with solar and battery back up. And to those who already have readymades, it's time to embrace the technology and responsibility of keeping your cars? running and charged and the cars of others. It's tempting to scorn tesla cars due to the company PR EGO but that guy didn't develop the technology and programs. Maybe EV experts "liberated" by an industry -wide stall? will be available to keep the spark- hot. Struggle sharply & choose love

The 1947 Ford COEV

One of the most exciting aspects of converting gas-powered vehicles to electric is the option to break free from the constraints of traditional engineering. When you no longer have to design around a combustion engine and a bulky drivetrain, the possibilities for creativity and performance expand dramatically. EV conversions allow builders to reimagine power delivery, leveraging small motors and innovative layouts to achieve performance and aesthetics previously unimaginable.

A shining example of this innovation is ’s (VIR) 1947 Ford COE—nicknamed “COEV.” With a Mad Max-like attitude and cutting-edge electric technology, this build encapsulates what’s possible when creativity meets EV power.

Re: Which automakers have Tesla Supercharger access?

Sybil, thanks for this.

Kia had previously announced that January 15 was the magic date for Supercharger access. I assumed that Hyundai would be included.

Yesterday (15th) first thing I drove down to the newest Supercharger on El Monte / El Camino in my Kona Electric and the Vortex Plug (which I had already successfully tried with a Bolt) and enabled charging with my Tesla app only to be told by the app that my Kona was an "unauthorized" vehicle. :-(

I've subsequently read online that both Kia and Hyundai have waffled and that our cars will be enabled some time in the first quarter of this year.

As a Hyundai owner I am tickled pink about upcoming Supercharger access. A post-Thanksgiving trip to the Sierra foothills in the Kona exposed the deficiencies in the existing CCS networks: insufficient and broken chargers, long waits, inconsiderate/clueless users, etc. leading to long-distance trip unpredictability.

As a Tesla owner, I dread the masses of slow-charging newcomers clogging up the Supercharger network, many with charging ports which don't line up with the Supercharger cables. I've been a really happy user of Superchargers for nine years with my 2013 MS85 used exclusively for seriously-long road trips across the US and Canada with virtually never a charging delay once outside the Bay Area.
