CLC floating point error

Hey Duncan,

Long time no speak. Glad to see PSUD is still alive and kicking.

?

I was doing some tests on Build76 and am getting floating point errors when I use a choke greater than 18H in a CLC filter. See attachments,

Hey Jim, good to hear from you :)

If there's a floating point error, I'm 99.9% sure it will be in the rectifier model. I've looked at the Cree SiC C4D02120A and it seems to be a very high VLaw parameter (81). In days of old, it was possible to add your own rectifiers to the "pool" which then ended up being incorporated into the download for PSUD2. However some of them, like this one, have values that may cause problems.

I'll look at some better parameters for this device.

Regards,
Duncan

Found it, seems to be related to the Cree SiC diodes in the database. When I use the IXYS it works just fine.

If anyone needs the Cree device (Sic?C4D20120A) I've put an updated .rect file in the Files/support_uploads folder.

To install it, you need to download to the area where PSUD2 stores rectifier files. On English language machines this will be:

[Windows]? ?C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\psud\rectifiers
[MacOS Finder]? ?Documents -> psud -> rectifiers
[MacOS Terminal]? ?~/Documents/psud/rectifiers

Regards,
Duncan
