Re: Trouble connecting to APRS2 using direwolf.conf & HT on Rpi 3, decodes beacons well though....
I think you cut it off a bit too quickly.
I believe WB2OSZ was hoping to see feedback on the APRS connection
Do you ever see lines like this:
Now connected to IGate server noam.aprs2.net

Re: Trouble connecting to APRS2 using direwolf.conf & HT on Rpi 3, decodes beacons well though....
Oh, there is a warning at the top which I had not noticed as it was above my default Terminal window size (terrible excuse, but I genuinely thought Direwolf launched itself differently). I doubt if

Re: Trouble connecting to APRS2 using direwolf.conf & HT on Rpi 3, decodes beacons well though....
I just noticed that Direwolf does not preserve all lines of text in a scrollable manner. So I have just restarted it and will post a new copy after a little while. This is what was in the window from

Please copy everything from terminal window.
There might be an error message in there which reveals the problem.

Re: Trouble connecting to APRS2 using direwolf.conf & HT on Rpi 3, decodes beacons well though....
The Terminal window goes from black background Terminal goodness to white
background Direwolf. Splash text appears ending with the KISS TCP on
8001... Then it shows decoded APRS messages as they come

Re: Trouble connecting to APRS2 using direwolf.conf & HT on Rpi 3, decodes beacons well though....
1. See below. There was some odd stuff on the github text which I commended out, some beaconing at the very bottom.
2. Confusing... From Terminal if I type "direwolf -di" the Direwolf application

Re: Trouble connecting to APRS2 using direwolf.conf & HT on Rpi 3, decodes beacons well though....
(1) What is in the direwolf.conf file after the changes?
(2) The "-di" option sends results to console, not a separate file. What do you see in the console output?

Rob, et all.
Confusion continues.
On page 112 of the pdf manual for DireWolf, the coordinate formatting is shown to be valid in a multitude of manners, including the negative value. No mention of a

Now I am VERY confused.
I took the settings from your direwolf.conf file below.? Stripped them down to the key components and changed to my call and location.? Also started another app (APRSIS32)

Hello Tobias,
Try starting direwolf from the command line with adding the "-di" debugging option to see all IGATE details.

The International Space Station (ISS) and some amateur satellites carry APRS digipeaters. You don¡¯t need fancy equipment to use the ISS digipeater. I saw a video where someone was successful with an

thank you for the detail. I have made these changes to the conf file, and

Just as a quick test try adding this line just below your virtual ports (KISS and AGW):
ICHANNEL 15
Also add a filter:
IGFILTER m/100 f/W7JET-10
I like to use a fiend filter of a nearby, "known

The "SSID" *NEVER, EVER* goes on the statement.? It is part of the callsign.
Left off, the SSID is considered to be ZERO.
IGLOGIN-10 KK7BCO ##### is totally and completely *WRONG!*

Hi all,
The line wrap was just how it copied here, there is no line wrap in the conf file.
I added the SSID to the IGLOGIN, though I did not see any mention of adding the SSID in this manner. I have
