Hello runcer, Looking at that original article you posted, that's dated from 2017 running Direwolf 1.4 which are both very old. I would recommend that you start with a newer OS such as Bookworm

Is the UDP audio stream going to the correct port? Is the SDR radio producing 16 bit (LE) audio samples at 48,000/second? Try putting "-a 10" on the direwolf command line. 73, John WB2OSZ
