Re: virtual serial port for Direwolf in Linux Mint and Raspian?
What OS are you running Direwolf? Linux, Mac, or Windows? You mention X-Net... is that the DOS X-Net program? If so, how are you running it? On a real DOS machine, under Windows, under DOSEMU, or

virtual serial port for Direwolf in Linux Mint and Raspian?
I'm trying to set up a virtual serial port so I can get X-Net to use Direwolf on a KISS port.? X-Net looks for a serial port address, so I need to somehow get Direwolf's TCP 127.0.0.1:8001 to look

Re: Kissutil 1.6 looping in TXed packets - bug?
I learned from my own stupidity! The crosstalk problems appear to be due to my settings.? I had the jumpers set to 9600 baud input, but the cable was coming in on the 1200 baud input.? It appears

Re: Transmit timing error: PTT is on 4005 mSec too long. Direwolf 1.6 #hamlib
When you have issues, you need to find out if you are seeing any errors wherever you're running Direwolf. Hopefully you're logging everything to a file to make this easy for you. You're previous

Re: Easy-Digi CODEC not installing
Hello David I uncommented ADEVICE plughw:1,0 and I am now seeing the Sabrent and txing to the internet. Thank you. I don't think I am digipeating via RF to other stations.

Re: Easy-Digi CODEC not installing
What did not work? Are you inferring your new Sabrent USB sound device isn't working with Direwolf? If so, what issue are you seeing? Did you follow the Direwolf User Guide to determine it's

Re: Easy-Digi CODEC not installing
Well that did not work. I have the Signalink back on that Pi so the digipeater KD9CCE-10 is back online but I sure would like to figure out the Easy Digi.

Re: Transmit Sticks
Not sure if this will be the case with what is happening to you, but sometimes a high RF field around the PC or interface can jam the PTT one once Direwolf keys it with a packet. One way to check for

Re: Transmit Sticks
EasyDigi's normally have inputs for the RTS and DTR pins from a serial port. With Direwolf the only setting that worked for me was this: PTT /dev/ttyUSB0 RTS DTR Other settings would either result

Re: Easy-Digi CODEC not installing
There are two other connections on the E-D. You'll need a USB sound card. You connect the Easy Digi RX & TX audio to the input and output of the sound card, and plug the sound card into the Pi's USB

Thank you for this Patrick. So do I need an additional device besides the E-D added to the Pi? [email protected]> wrote:

Thank you Martin. I am gaining understanding on how these devices work. I am using a Kenwood TM-281 in this configuration. On the Easy-Digi, besides the cables to the microphone and the USB to

Sorry, guess I did leave a lot of info out. Radio is Alinco dual band DR-605T. Have a laptop that has a DB-9 connection (Com 1) that I've connected to an Easy-Digi interface, which is connected to

Re: Transmit Sticks
You need to provide more details here: - What radio do you have? - How are you asserting PTT to the radio? (serial PTT, CAT, GPIO, etc) - What have you configured in direwolf for PTT -

Re: Easy-Digi CODEC not installing
Easy Digi does not contain a sound card. It is merely an interface between a sound card and a radio. The USB device you are seeing controls PTT to the radio. Patrick (N3TSZ)
