Re: Direwolf running with Aprsice32
That depends on the program. The configuration file can be set up several ways. The method I am familiar with makes Direwolf look like a KISS TNC.

Introduction
Hi all,
By way of introduction, I've been using Direwolf (version 1.0) for a number of months and now have
a Rx-only HF Igate (VK1IAN-1) operating on an Odroid U3 ARM device. As this is a quad core

Re: Direwolf running with Aprsice32
Brian,
Are you familiar with the guidance in section 4.4.1 (for serial port) and 4.5.1 (for network) of the User Guide (version 1.0, released May 2014)? If not, get the document from the link

Re: Introduction
Hi.
Just joined this group, looking to put together a portable/mobile HF APRS system. I'll use YAAC as the APRS client, but that's not for here (unless someone has already done it all on Lubuntu and

Re: Introduction
Hi Dave,
Running multiple modems is a clever way to counter frequency drift. When I first started playing
with DW, it was on an old laptop and I was running five modems.
My current setup uses an

Re: Introduction
I'm doing OK on the audio end with my XP netbook, but DW will not work properly with my USB-Com port dongle. No matter what setup options I use, it just hangs up with PTT enabled.
I've tried:

Re: Introduction
Agree. I had this (ages ago) using a RigExpert. Applications crashing without notice was also
experienced (unusual for a Linux box).
After liberal "choking" (many turns around iron toroids rescued

Re: Introduction -- "Ian Bennett"
Sadly it does makes one wonder about the EMC state of some accessories that
are intended by definition to be used in a less than friendly RF environment.
Not just RigExperts either, but many after

Re: Introduction
I checked that by reducing power to zero, and still have the problem.
What led me to try reducing the power was the fact that there are no problems with two other programs, FLDIGI and MixW. If RF

Direwolf on Lubuntu in a mobile.
Short version of long story.
I'm building a dual band APRS mobile setup, 2m and 30m.
The "main" software is YAAC on Lubuntu.
On 2m, I'm using a venerable Kenwood TH-D7e, on HF, Direwolf feeding an

Re: Direwolf on Lubuntu in a mobile.
Using all of the COM port selections possible with DireWolf, all I've ever been able to get is a "stuck in transmit" condition.
The program will be unusable for me until this problem is sorted

Hello Dave,
This already exists. In the output of direwolf if you log it shows things like:
Digipeater WIDE1 audio level = 66 [NONE]

Re: Direwolf on Lubuntu in a mobile.
Dave,
I'm using Direwolf as a Rx-only Igate on 30m on an Odroid3, but there are also instructions for the
RPi. As my setup is Rx-only, I haven't transmitted using it but I will relate some of my
