David White would like to do a "Terminator" rpg. Would it be okay if we did that?

Here’s the reason I’m slow in getting this PBEM started. Three weeks ago a member of my family passed away and because of that it has been difficult. I haven’t had any motivation to write. Or if I do write its rushed, like I’m anxious to finish as quickly as possible. I don’t like that. Another family member has advised to avoid doing anything creative at the present time and just give my emotions time to get back in order and for my brain to rest. This just isn’t a good time for me to write but this is only temporary, like the pandemic. So bear with me during this difficult time. There are times when things like creativity have to be set aside. I’ll keep you all up to date.

Damon Wood awoke at his habitual hour inside his temporary home at the Los Angeles County Jail Maximum-security section, where he had been incarcerated for the last six weeks pending an appeal against his convictions and or sentence for the murders of his wife and two daughters and the attempted murder of his son, which failed, he was still condemned to die by Lethal Injection The positive he did get out of the appeal was the fact that the court had not simply thrown the appeal out in a matter of hours, it took them ten days to come back with the APPEAL DENIED verdict, now he would be returned to Death Row at San Quentin. << The guard stopped outside of Damon's cell. He was tall Latino guard in his mid-thirties. He was carrying a tray of food. He slipped the tray through the slot in the door. Damon Wood took the meal tray from the guard, it wasn't the best food he had eaten in his life, but it was food none the less. Some undefined period of time later, trapped inside this prison cell, Damon Wood was unaware of just how long since breakfast had come has elapsed he heard a blood curdling sound and what sounded like gunshots emanating from another area of the County Jail "What the....." he commented to himself. << One of the other inmates, a black man who was being incarcerated for armed robbery, stepped up to the door of his cell and looked out. Four guards ran through the corridor, their weapons drawn. Another guard followed behind them. The inmate called to the guard. "Hey!" he called. "What's going on?" The guard stepped up to the man's cell. "We have a riot going on in the dining room," the guard said. "Stay in your cell!" The cellmate of the black man, another black man, was lying on his bunk reading a magazine. Hr sat up and looked at the guard moving on. "Did he just say a riot is going on?" he asked. The inmate nodded. "Yeah. That's what he said." Damon Wood looked at the guard "Quick question before you take off, when am i headed back to San Quentin?" he inquired <<Guard>> OOC: two weeks minimum due to outbreak of nasty stomach bug Damon Wood nodded, a further two weeks in this cell made little difference, he was still on DEATH ROW for all intensive purposes Over the course of the next week or so, strange news emanating from Communist China began to come out, Damon Wood learned about it via the television news, but there didn't appear to be anything to be too concerned about <<Joey>> OOC: any input?

December 18, 2019 Chamber of the United States Senate United States Capitol Washington, D.C. 2:30 P.M. EST Angela Harmon, former Governor of North Carolina and the first female Vice-President of the United States, sat at the Chairman's Desk in the front of the large, cavernous Senate Chamber located at the southern end of the United States Capitol Building. She sat silently, listening as the Senators from all fifty states were voting. The Senators weren't voting on any legislation. They were voting on whether to remove the current President of the United States from office. For the last seven months debate had been raging in Congress on whether to impeach President Joshua Chase, a real-estate billionaire from Massachusetts who had run for President, Olivia McFadden, a former First Lady, former Senator from New York, and a former Secretary of State whom everyone seemed sure was going to succeed the previous President, Samuel Haynes, Jr., a Young Democrat from the Midwest, and become the first female President of the United States. The Democratic Party had rallied behind McFadden. She had tremendous support from the American people. But sadly she wasn't going to be the forty-fifth President of the United States and be the worthy successor to President Haynes. On November 8, 2016 the nation was surprised when Joshua Chase was elected President of the United States and was inaugurated on January 20, 2017. Everybody wondered how this could have happened. Joshua Chase didn't have a chance. Then during the past two years a horrifying revelation had come to light. The real-estate billionaire had help getting into the White House. He didn't have help from any Americans. He had help from Russia. The Russian Government, under orders from the big man in the Kremlin himself had conducted a massive operation to meddle in the 2016 elections and had succeeded. And worse, Mr. Real-Estate Billionaire had colluded with them. After an investigation by a Special Counsel appointed by the United States Attorney General, Mr. Real-Estate Billionaire's collusion with the Boys From Moscow had come to light. The intelligent Speaker of the House of Representatives didn't waste time. Cynthia Bianchi, a veteran Congresswoman from San Francisco, California, initiated impeachment proceedings. After hearing testimony from many witnesses and a unanimous bipartisan vote the House had voted for impeachment. The Republican members of the House had voted with their Democratic colleagues. They were fed up with the President's shenanigans, which were doing serious harm to the Republican Party. After the impeachment vote was concluded and the Articles of Impeachment had been delivered to the Senate, the Senate had held a trial. Now the trial was over and the Senators were debating. Vice-President Harmon hadn't been looking forward to the mess that was currently taking place in the Senate. She had dreaded the job of presiding over the trial of President Chase. But when the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court had refused to preside over the trial after his Conservative Republican old battleaxe of a wife threatened to divorce him if he did, the job fell to Vice-President Harmon. Under the Constitution, as Vice-President she was in charge of the Senate so she was obligated to fulfill her Constitutional duties. She hadn't publicly expressed her feelings on the matter but privately she was happy that President Chase was going to be given the boot. She disliked the man immensely. But presiding over the man's trial was not what she wanted to do. She wasn't an attorney or a judge. She was a former Sports Illustrated swimsuit model and television sportscaster. She had run for Governor of North Carolina as a write-in candidate to oppose a buffoon who had run North Carolina into the ground in more ways than one. Surprisingly she had won. When President Chase had selected her to be his running mate she had refused, but had then changed her mind after her fellow Republicans had pressured her to join the ticket.
