I am driving with my mother cross country now.....will be in Houston in 4 hours Finally listening to The Last Laugh podcast...various comedians I like. And I noticed that when you listen to this one particular comedian, there are definite similarities between the way she talks and the way David Ford does. And that comedian's name is Sarah Silverman

Speak up and use your voice for change
I just saw I got an email from anna and I thought...Lundin? Only some of you may understand the reference. ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: <anna@...> Date: Tue, Jun 28, 2022 at 2:52 PM Subject: Speak up and use your voice for change To: <vertpurple@...> Hello Storyteller, Last Friday the U.S. Supreme Court used its power to overturn Roe v Wade, eliminating the decades long constitutional right to abortion. Now, it is time to use your power: your voice. This week, hundreds of podcasters in America, including popular hosts like Tori Dunlap of Her First 100K and iHeart's Bridget Todd, are joining forces to do just that. In a unique campaign, podcasters reserve their pre-rolls for a message of support, unity, resource sharing, and protest. Here's how you can join the movement: Record a pre-roll statement at the beginning of your episode this week in support of women's rights to choose. You can find additional help, resources, links and examples in a toolkit gathered here by a group of amazing podcasters and podcast, lead by Arielle Nissenblatt of EarBuds Podcast. We at Zvook respect everyone's personal choices, regardless of what they are. We also believe in everyone's individual right to make such choices for themselves. We are proud and happy to support the podcast community that is coming together to address the constitutional right of women to choose. Stay loud! Zvook team

Out of all of us... Every member of Dannysic. I never knew until a year ago and just remembered to share with all of you that the most nostalgic person of all of us is.... Eric Bloom I thought it was just now because I woke up from a dream and in the dream I Zoomed with Eric before I went to bed. And he has such a sweet soul. Like Zooming with Paul Rudd. And it was a little gay. About the nostalgia Eric showed me some things he has saved from college. SketchUp related. One of them was a speech that he was excited to show me because I wrote it. And as I looked at it he described the whole event to me. I knew that I was never at that event and I never wrote it. We decided it was Christian who wrote it. Or somebody else. Maybe he doesn't have the best memory. But the point of this is that Eric has the kindest heart of all of us as far as I know. Nostalgic. Emo.

at the moment i am preparing to start on a new phase of my weird travels here in which i will spend perhaps two months in a tent in the mountains here (here is the indian state of himachal pradesh) doing a sort of retreat thst will include hindi/pahari (this is the local language, closely related to punjabi) immersion, so i can actually fucking talk to people who aren't like tourists from delhi. in this part of himachal (in mandi district, near the kangra border) i have befriended a restaurateur called kapoor who is the same age as we are. he helped me out a lot when i was up here in january and he is the one who found me land where i could set up my tent and is introducing me to all the people around so they all know me and like me and won't wonder what the fuck some weird moustachioed white man is doing traipsing around the jungle nearby, providing me with some materials like a small cook stove and gas canister and showing me how to make some dal dishes & chapatis. we really have come to genuinely like each other very much and his whole family also have embraced me, offering me places to stay all around the region free of charge and just generally helping me get by out here and not get into trouble (seriously, anywhere you are in the world, one local friend is more fucking valuable than a goddamned platinum amex). this brings me to sahil, who is kapoors 21-year old son. so kapoors family is a prosperous one for this region. they own two restaurants now and are clearly well known and respected. and sahil is a cool guy who was sent to an english medium school and fancy college in chandigarh, and he drives a brand new mahindra thar, which is basically a fancy luxury jeep that's jacked up real high. and he really only thinks about sex with women basically all of th time. this kid really loves me and i'm not even sure what it's about but he wants to take me everywhere and tells me things like "i simply love you" and tells me how handsome i am (stg). so yesterday, we were doing some things and he asks me "do you want to have a girl tonight?" and he has asked me questions like this before and i am always at pains to explain that that isn't how i operate, like i don't wake up and think "today i want to have sex with a woman" or, equally important, "today i do not want to have sex with a woman," but it seems difficult for him to come to terms with. so i try to explain and he says "there is a girl i want to have sex with tonight" and will i come along with him and hang out or whatever and i'm like fine yes i'll do whatever. then he asked to borrow a little cash, which is normal for us because i have to carry cash around but he often orders things online for me. so anyway we go out and we're walking up this dark narrow forested path and he is telling me to keep quiet and it is only then that it dawns on me that we are going to a brothel. so we're approaching the place and he's coaching me a little just that i have to keep very quiet and if anyone asks if i want a girl just say no, not tonight, my wife is waiting for me or something. as though i have to tell a falsehood to get out of paid sex. and we arrive at the place and there is one older man sitting on a stool at the entrance, presumably as like a guard, though his aspect wasn't in any way threatening, and then inside it's just all women. and here in this case the most accurate thing to say is it was like a novel, because i'd never actually been in a place like that before but i have certainly encountered them in books. several older women ranging from maybe late-30s to 60s, presumably all with a sex work background, running the place, attending to tasks, or just hanging out and chatting. none of the women there speaks any english, and my hindi is weeeeaaaak, so i was introduced to them and they brought me some water and i sat quietly on a sofa minding my business. at one point, one of the women there started saying something to me in pahari and i explained that i couldn't understand so she gestured to her pussy and then to the corridor with the sex rooms and then shrugged he

covid 12
For anyone casually tracking covid activity in this group, covid hit all of our household this week. So far annoying (like a medium cold with some touches of moderate flu) but nothing crazy, knock on wood. What is also annoying is doing some further reading into current state of re-infection and what catching covid now may mean for helping immunity going into our summer travels and all.... the news looks grim as apparently Omicron BA.2.12 isn't much slowed down by prior infection from even BA.2 (and both of those aren't too slowed down by the Omicron BA1 which surged mega-crazy this winter). Right now San Diego has about 75% 2.12 and 25% 2, so we easily could have gotten 2, and still could be vulnerable in a bit to 2.12....... and then we also are starting to get a bit of BA.4 and BA.5 - which both are surging right now in South Africa and starting to elsewhere, and again, does not seem to be much slowed by any prior infections......so people can and are getting 2, 3, 4 infections over due time..........fun. Apparently there's some hope that later in '23 there could be nasal vaccines developed/approved which may put up more resistance to infection. But that's a good long while from now. The real story on long Covid still seems not too clear. How much current vaccines are helping from infection, severe infection, and long Covid, is also seeming more murky as the viruses so quickly adapt and mutate away from the current vaccines....... Don't want to get 2 or 3 more rounds of Covid but also need to keep our child less isolated than the first year and a half - to two years of Covid, when we were reasonably/perhaps fairly strictly distancing (pretty easy for me with zero co-workers and with majority of my friends having moved out of SD in last 2-10 years, but tougher for Lara/child and again, not something we should return to). Don't think distancing is the answer but wish more support for masks and for government big push and funding for enhanced indoor ventilation everywhere........

Gab Responds: Elon Buys Twitter, Now What? 3
---------- Forwarded message --------- From: ? Gab News <GabNews@...> Date: Fri, Apr 29, 2022, 7:18 AM Subject: Gab Responds: Elon Buys Twitter, Now What? To: darktyme.com <vertpurple@...> Many people have been asking me what I think about Elon Musk purchasing Twitter for $44 billion dollars. In this letter I’m going to tell you what this means for Gab and provide my analysis of the situation as someone who has been trailblazing free speech infrastructure on the internet for nearly six years. Tonight I am going to sleep as Peter did in Acts chapter 12 the night before his execution. For those of you who don’t know the story, I probably sound crazy, but if you read your Bible you’ll see that in Acts 12 Peter is miraculously freed from jail where an angel found him sleeping like a baby. On the surface Acts 12 looks like the story of Peter’s miraculous escape from prison. If you look a little deeper you’ll see that it is actually about Peter’s miraculous transformation from the man who denied Jesus three times to a man with enough faith to sleep like a baby the night before his scheduled execution. Peter was sleeping so peacefully and deeply while being chained to the arms of two guards in jail that when an angel appeared he thought he was dreaming or having a vision in the fog of waking up from a deep sleep. Then Peter came to himself and said, “Now I know without a doubt that the Lord has sent his angel and rescued me from Herod’s clutches and from everything the Jewish people were hoping would happen." Acts 12:11 This is the faith that I have in this moment. A moment where our enemies are saying “Gab is surely dead now” for the 1000th time in six years. It’s the same faith I had when Gab was reduced to a pile of ash in the fall of 2018 and we lost everything. We were banned from hosting providers, payment processors, and my CTO quit all within roughly 72 hours. The website was offline for six days, but on day seven the site was resurrected by the grace of God and by the incredible determination of one brave engineer who didn’t sleep for a week. It is from that pile of ash that I watched God grow Gab into the single most resilient alternative to Big Tech with a community of tens of millions of people that it is today. As Christians, we are blessed to witness the Resurrection Power of Jesus Christ in our lives. We watch in awe as He takes things that are dead and raises them back to life. Jesus Christ turns tragedy into testimony. Gab is my testimony. Unlike Mr. Musk I don’t answer to anyone outside of God almighty, especially not moneychangers. Just a few days ago Morgan Stanley was praising Elon’s Boring Company to CNBC. A few weeks before that they were praising his other company Tesla. Morgan Stanley owns 3.7 million Tesla shares equal to about $3.9 billion in value so it should come as no surprise to learn that they are backing Elon’s $44 billion Twitter takeover and praising every company Elon runs. Many people wrongfully believe that Elon pulled $44 billion out of his bank account and bought Twitter, but that’s not how any of this works. Elon’s moneychanger friends financed over $20 billion of the deal. The moneychangers don’t just throw around $20 billion for no reason. So who really bought Twitter and who will really be in control? God only knows. What I know for certain is that I fully control Gab as its supermajority shareholder and sole Board member. You can learn more about who I am here. Elon can have Twitter. People falsely assume that Gab is a “Twitter knockoff,” but this hasn’t been the case for several years. Functionally Gab is more like Facebook. We have Gab Groups, Gab Marketplace, Gab News, Gab TV, GabPay, and much more on the way. We aren’t and haven’t been competing with Twitter for years. Facebook users are our core target market. We quickly realized back in 2019 that the vast majority of people in the United States are simply not on Twitter. The first issue is that over half of Twitter’s “users” are bots. The other half are young inner-city Democrats and journalists, but let’s be honest these peop

this warrants a new thread
i have been lowkey working on something for the last week or so, like a creative project. the way it seems to be shaking out is as a kind of spaulding gray-esque spoken word bit that i am tentatively calling pathao and the unspeakable now. it's gone far enough that i saw a place advertised an open mic tonight and i went by to see if it might be an appropriate venue but they seemed to be shutting the place down at a little after 8pm. pathao, by the way, is a ride share app developed in bangladesh and used there and in nepal that offers a choice of like, uber-style pickup in someone's passenger car, or riding pillion on someone's motorcycle, which is a LOT cheaper

Young Fat Girls 20
You know, maybe if I was single, I'd be ok dating a 25 year old who is fat, but hot. There's a woman at my school who is 28 and I really thought she was fat because she had a baby. Cute, hot, friendly, loving. Nope. No baby. Just fat. Not huge. But I'd be ok with that.

If 2
If you were the leader of a sex cult, no coersion necessary, no lying, just you, Richard Chang, or you know, whoever you are, and you would allow your wife to have intercourse with one other person once per year (while no such rules would exist for you), well, what do you think about that? Sandra said no.

Fascinating 2
---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Dan Buck <vertpurple@...> Date: Thu, Mar 31, 2022, 7:48 PM Subject: Fascinating To: sandra ménard <menardsandra@...>, Dan Buck <danpiercebuck@...> So this was new to me and I assume it's new to all of you. I'm standing in line for three snowballs at a French festival at my kids public School. It is taking about 45 minutes for three snowballs, STG. Anyway, I met a surgeon today, a parent here, who is from France and he was hired at a hospital in Texas. And it's something I have never heard of but you can correct me if I'm wrong. He is a fetus surgeon. From France. There are only about 200 in the whole world. It isn't yet a dedicated, official profession. But it is highly lucrative. He told me that basically if a hospital is lucky enough to get a fetus that needs surgery then that person is indebted to the hospital for the rest of their lives. Cashorama. To be honest that was less interesting to me than this... He said that in Europe you can literally have an abortion up until the day before birth. Like you find out your child is retarded and one day before birth, let's end it. So for that reason the idea of fetal surgery is very controversial in Europe. Why give birth to a child with permanent defects that can't fully be fixed with fetal surgery when you can abort. Fascinating. I was just told my snowball will be ready in 8 minutes

1. I saved my son's life last night. He was choking on asparagus and I gave him the Heimlich. It's the fourth emergency situation I've led in the past four years (others were at work) 2. This article is worth a read: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/03/24/opinion/lasting-friendships-secrets.html 3. I have an idea for a new type of entertainment. It would be like a haunted house except the shocks are sudden glimpses of gorgeous, naked women. You walk through the house in the dark, scared and tittilated, and in the end you are rewarded with a fuck, but you can't control who you end up with. The frustration brings you back. 4. Sandra has just received a significant job offer in Houston, and has been admitted into a doctoral program here. So we are committed to Houston now until all of that is done. I am also planning on starting a doctoral program a year later. 5. Through Little News Ears I know a 14-year-old who was in Kiev when the bombing started. I found out that they escaped to Germany
