We're very excited to announce that our 2023 RVA Big Band Weekend, in tribute to Richmond radio legend Floyd Henderson,?will be taking place over the weekend of June 2nd and 3rd, 2023.?The location for this year's event will
be "The Great Hall," located within?the campus of Seven Hills Boys School on Overbrook Road in Richmond's historic Northside.?With ample parking and easy access to the interstate and several hotels, we're very excited about this year's location.
And now for the best news of all.?This year we will have three Big Bands performing for your dancing and listening pleasure.

On Friday, June 2nd, 2023, Glen Boswick And The Sound Of Swing
along with Joe Enroughty And His Royal Virginians will be sharing the stage for an evening of fabulous Big Band dance music.?Four fantastic vocalists will be on hand to croon some of your favorite?tunes.?Doors open
at 5:30 PM.?Dinner is served at
6:00 PM.?A FREE dance lesson with Gwendolyn Glenn will take place at
6:30 PM.?The two bands perform from 7:00 PM to
10:00 PM.

On Saturday, June 3rd, 2023, The Silver Tones Swing Band Featuring Vocalist Gene Bates And The Silver Belles Vocal Trio
will take the stage to perform for your dancing pleasure.? The Silver Tones hail from Warrenton, Virginia and have a large following in the Northern Virginia area.? We are so very excited to have this swingin' Big Band as part of this year's event.??Doors

Scott Michaels,?host of the syndicated Big Band radio program "," will be on hand for both evenings to emcee our weekend just as he did last year.? We hope to record both evenings and possibly broadcast them "LIVE" on the radio.

Gwendolyn Glenn and her "Dance In Class" performance team will be providing dance demonstrations?each evening.? Gwendolyn will also be teaching a
FREE dance lesson each evening from 6:30 PM - 7:00 PM.
