Raspberry Pi 5 Model B w/ 16GB of memory -- Available starting today 1/9/25

 

Dunno how long it'll take these puppies to hit this side of the "pond".

I can see the extra RAM being useful for a low power hypervisor.

Think of how much faster your RPi would run with the entire operating system
stored in a RAM disk?? ?True, it would have but maybe 8-GB to run stuff but
if you do a lot of file I/O it'll be pretty swift!? Compiles would go a lot
faster!

FWIW, SparkFun, up in Colorado, has the 16-GB model in stock!
