July already, year's half done. Unless you don't like the heat, in which case you might be fully done. Hope all y'all got flags, grill and all the fixins ready for the 4th. If you are still in town, or in a place with reasonable connectivity, there's this:

Also interesting, that thing is so fresh (OS release, not the 1, obviously) that "apt update" and "apt upgrade" come back right away without downloading updates. On 2023-05-05 14:19, Cornelius Keck wrote:

Dallas RPI Usergroup Meeting 5/2023
Any scary stories about tax day? Hopefully you made it through that mess alive. Also, both mentally and financially unharmed.
Repeat after me: taxation is theft. Anyway: New month, new luck. As always, there's the first Saturday, the day of all days to talk shop. Who's got something to show off, found some new cool gear and all that? Talk to us! Nothing ever changes, so we meet both in person at, and virtually further down: 999 E. Arapaho Richardson, TX 75081 BTW, it appears as if Zoom enforces authentication, completely ignoring the conference setup's settings to skip that. So to participate, might want to set up a basic Zoom account (maybe even using a throw-away email address), use that when starting that app, or within the browser. One thing with having to manually add stuff to a kernel is that in the long run you might end up supporting it yourself, because whoever came up with the initial driver no longer supports it, so you are stuck with an older kernel version, which is OK as long as you don't need any of the features a newer release supports, and all your software, including external tool chains, work on the older kernel. At the end of the day kernel and driver support is not exactly your business concept.... Thx! -Cornelius On 2023-03-03 12:30, Paul James wrote:
