new vr stream mark 3

I don’t know if you have all heard but there will be a new stream mark 3 released sometime soon, it looks quite good, there has been a lot of traffic regarding it on the other victor stream group, Matthew from humanware Canada has been answering a lot of questions and is very or as open as he can be regarding the new stream. I am looking forward to seeing the new stream. There are a lot of improvements, obviously all the devices we use have their good and bad points and can al do different things so watch this space. ? ? I was going to repost a message sent out by Jonathan Mosen alerting us to the latest Mosen at Large for this weekend in which he will be interviewing someone from Humanware.? He has invited questions and I have emailed him one asking whether the new Stream will be able to access BBC Sounds.
Can we have a link or some info Adrian on discussions you have beeb following?? Especially the spec of the new VR.

开云体育I doubt it. I think Audible are going the way of the BBC, and want us to use their app. ? We couldn’t get it to work with the Evo E10 or E12 either, the developers tried hard. ? All the best

We've been in talks with them, we even sent them early pilot units for them to test, certify, etc... unfortunately, it's proven difficult to get an answer. On our end, the software is almost ready to go, we just need them to approve and update AudibleSync to work with the Stream 3. Mathieu |

Yeah for Audible, all I can say is, make your voice heard. Call them, let them know you would like support on your favorite DAISY platform, whatever it is.

Hello Claire!
So for launch, the answer is no. We are however actively working with RNIB to integrate them and we've made good progress. We will have support later this year (I'm hoping by summer). For Calibre, we had some preliminary discussions with them but our focus was more on RNIB. Once RNIB is done, we'll see what we can do, but it is being considered! Mathieu |
