Re: [Tech-VI] For Users of the Victor Reader Stream 3: Version 1.3 is now available!
Hi David
This is why I use OpenAudible or InAudible to download Audible books. Once they are downloaded and copied it does not matter what happens to Audible, because I have them in MP3 format.

I actually agree with you here David. You are not buying the books, you are renting them, effectively.

I agree David, and like all successful monopolies, or near monopolies, there's no place else to go.? How I wish this sort of licencing restrictive practice could be internatinally outlawed, but that

Re: [Tech-VI] For Users of the Victor Reader Stream 3: Version 1.3 is now available!
The main reason I use Open Audible is for Access reasons. Unless I can amplify these books, they are literally unlistenable for me.
However, the whole Audible model irks me for other reasons. Over

Re: [Tech-VI] For Users of the Victor Reader Stream 3: Version 1.3 is now available!
Hi Ray
It connects to the audible folder or library so it must be official, I find it much easier, open the open audible program, it’ll ask you to log-in and make sure it is on mp3 and the program

Re: [Tech-VI] For Users of the Victor Reader Stream 3: Version 1.3 is now available!
So, is Open Audible an "unofficial" way to go about downloading books, or am I perhaps asking something I should not be asking?
Ray.

Re: Webinar for 1.3 release
Hi Claire
I don't remember that function, but to actually jump several books at once

Hi Ray
Open audible isn’t talked about as much as audible sink but I prefer it, just my choice, it is easier, no messing around connecting gadgets to audible.
The suspend feature is great, the

Re: Webinar for 1.3 release
Hi Adrien,
With the Stream 2, you could press and hold key 4 and 6 in a list of files to jump 10 files at a time . Don't know if this still works on Stream 3.
