Hello ray,
I have the victor Reader Stream Next generation, the version with Wi-Fi support for online content, but I don't have the Trek, so cannot help with an up-to-date manual for it. Perhaps someone else on the list can help.
Best wishes,
Clive Pallett

Clive, that's very helpful, and thank you for explaining what HW means by "consolidation", though maybe a bit of thought on my part might have sussed it. I was afraid that it might actually combine the files although "combine" might have been used if that were the case. We could do with such a feature to re-order playlists, especially in the favourites folder.
Just one more question then Clive, Have you managed to find a full up-to-date manual on-line? I for one do not find the Humanware website at all easy to navigate.
Thanks again.
Ray.

Hello Ray,
Consolidating your recorded notes means they are re-sorted after some have been deleted. For example, say you have 4 notes recorded, you delete 1 and 3, so when you cycle through the list you hear 2 and 4. Now, press the 3 key until you hear "consolidate note" and you now have them re-sorted as 1 and 2. They will be separate files, not one big one.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes and stay safe!

Subject: [vrstreamuk] Saving recorded notes on Trek
Hi List.
I seem to be having a bad day as, amongst other things, I asumed I can save audio recordings made via the Trek's audio note facility, to the SD card in the Trek. On pressing the number 3 key I get Delete and "consolidate". that last one suggests to me the various recordings would be consolidated into one recording. I want to save the recordings, not have them joined into one file.
So, have I got this wrong? I would dearly like to save some recordings made via the internal mic to the SD card, but it would appear this is not possible.
So, any suggestions?
Thanks.
Ray.
